@LandThatFish Yes that is the exact model but make sure you just get the bearings and not the whole kit
@AdamsBaits13 жыл бұрын
@j0j0barz33 ya, they say daiwa and shimano are they best one to tune. but i know they make em for the new models but they suggest polishing/sandling, its like a 3 hour process, it just saves your reel in the long run. it just makes it so your reel can keep up with the change.

it helps if you drill a small hole in the bottom jaw of your tool that is marginally larger than the pin your trying to press out, that way you can put the pin in that hole and apply more even pressure to the pin, it will minimize chances of bending it.

Like your vídeos, i have a question i have the same diwa tierra and ive noticed that you got two boca bearings in the bag, one goes on the spool like you showed, but where does the other one go¿.

Does it really help to do this and what would it help. Like casting or just how smooth your reel is?

Did u change both bearings when you free spooled the reel at the end?
@AdamsBaits13 жыл бұрын
Do you not polish and sand the vital friction points??? because when you "Super Tune" and reel thats one of the main things to do before swappng out the bearings, you will ruin a brand new reel fast if you dont, thats why they suggest tuning an old reel., like giving a car a tune up. just a heads up!!!

the pliers you have are called channel locks

@JDMichael07 no just spool
@JonBrollin13 жыл бұрын
@AdamsBaits Free floating spool reduces friction so its not that big of a problem. You'd be surprised Adam, look on the internet alot of guys hate the components that the manufacturers use in the reels and switch out often. Mostly Daiwas and Shimanos though. If they did suggest only tuning old reels then why do they make the bearing models for the new ones?

How do you change the bearings from the side cover plate
@BassFishingAddictions4 жыл бұрын
Theres a little squarish clip that holds it in place, it's very flimsy so dont worry about wrecking it. Use something like a baitcast pick. Look at the clip holding the bearing in, find one of the sides where the clip is flat and get the pick behind it and push it towards the center of the bearing area and pull upwards a little to get it out of the groove its stuck in. Always make sure you have your finger or something on top of the whole bearing area otherwise the clip will fling off and get lost. Then cut a q tip in half and use the shaft you just cut to put in the center of the old bearing. Push the q tip to the side a little so it's kinda stuck inside of the bearing and slowly lift it out
