Would you believe that when this album came out, on Eminem message boards (obviously this was before Reddit, Twitter, even Facebook), there was a large contingent of people that thought that Em was trolling us, and that the REAL Encore album was gonna be released after this one, and this one was just to throw people off... sadly that wasn't the case, but it just shows how confused fans were back then when this dropped. Obviously now, with the hindsight of knowing Eminem was pretty deep into his drug addiction during the recording of this album, it's easier to understand how half of the album is so bad. Also some of the album leaked before release (Love You More, We As Americans), which made Em have to go back and record new songs to replace the leaked ones, which is where many of the sillier songs came from.

I Think encore was more bad to the point were the album is a funny listen. Same cant be Said for the others though. Like toy soldiers, mockingbird and wellow brick Road are amazing songs though. Music to be m by b side is horrible though, apart from Zeus which is pretty good and gnat which is bad until the beat switches and then it actually sounds incredible.

MTBMB Side B is not an album, but as deluxe it's also definitely better than all the terrible songs on Encore. Alfred's Theme is such a banger. Some of the sounds and lyrics on Encore are literally ear-bleeding bad.

Encore holds a special place in my heart despite the obvious flaws. That was around the time I actually started listening to rap music and the album was a big part of it

This album is like: - wow thats Fire - damn thats bad - damn thats one the best song ever - wow what a unlistenable piece of garbage

Where Encore suffered because of Em’s drug addiction, Relapse flourished because of the artistic and metaphorical use of the abuse.

Same. Tracks got leaked so he had to make filler tracks to go on there. We as Americans should have been on there.

The thing is. He set the bar so high so early so it’s difficult to keep that up every album. He’s completed everything early on so tried new avenues and even on encore and revival the actual “rapping” is still nuts
@dubtee76562 жыл бұрын
But the difference is with the rapping, you have to be saying memorable things

High for him. Nobody brings up ems prior albums as all time classics. They're good and way better than this shit show tho.,lol

I think that mockingbird was one of the early encore songs cause this sounds more like em before the drugs and the slurs like mockingbird could fit in with the eminem show

I think alot of this album got leaked before it's released and em just filled the voids with any old song

This is one of the only albums where I actually really want a 20th anniversary version of. But I would want it to be basically the original track list before the leaks happened.

It’s such a good album - you can’t be mad at a comedy movie for not being serious or dissapointed in a horror movie for not making you laugh! This is a hilarious album with some genius songs and amazing rhyme skills
@elliot15711 ай бұрын
But it's poorly produced, unfunny and gross.
