That part where the phones are pointed at her like a gun, you will notice that she is the same person on the painting behind her, she's just in disguise by wearing a wig. When she fell (made mistakes) the phones that was capturing her "celebrity image" is now pointed at her like a weapon. What people see in them as a celebrity can be used against them when they made a mistake.

JISOO 's scene with pink bob hair with phones pointed at her like a guns when she slipped means how easily they go from admiring her in her "perfect image" (on the wall) to attacking her when she makes the smallest mistake. All their MVs have incredible menages. EVERY SCENE is a story to unfold. Hope this helped

GRAMMY called Blackpink is 'the biggest girl group in the world', they are the first K-pop group to be on the cover of American Elle, Rolling Stone, and Vogue Korea. And they are the artist with the most youtube subscribers in the world (79,4 million) surpassing Justin Bieber in September 2021. They have 5 M/V over 1 billion views and 1 dance practice video 1 billion views. they collaborated with Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Lisa x DJ Snake, Jennie will join The Weekend's The Idol, Ariana Grande has produced their collab with Selena Gomez. 2 out of 4 of them can speak English fluently, Lisa can speak well but her capital is quite low, Jisoo can understand people talking but because of her weak pronunciation, she is very shy to speak. All of them can speak Japanese too. They're also Advocates for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26) since 2022. Besides, they're the first female Kpop artist to perform at Coachella, VMA. And Blackpink in particular and YG entertainment in general say no with green screens (except for a few scenes in Whistle). You can watch behind the scenes to see that the scene is 100% real. They are also the 4 most followed Korean artists on IG. Lisa: Global Ambassador Celine, Bulgari, MAC (81,4 million) Jennie: Ambassador Chanel, Calvin Kevin, Jentle Monster. Global Ambassador of luxury cosmetics Hera (69,4 million) Jisoo: Dior fashion and beauty ambassador. Cartier Ambassador (63,4 million) Rosé: Global Ambassador of Saint Laurent, Tiffany & Co (62,3 million) BLACKPINK: Ambassador Adidas

I tend to gravitate towards their B-sides more then their more popular songs. I mean, they are popular for a reason, but i find their more experimental B-sides more engaging :) Their B-sides will usually not have a M/V, but they have lyric videos so you can get the subtitles, and there will ofc be live videos, always fun to watch, but audio quality varies from venue. And usually a dance practice video to get studio quality and them moving on screen, but no subtitles.

I'm fairly new to k pop too so I might be wrong but I think the management companies like YG are the ones who recruit the idols, train them, form the group and start promoting them and their music. They practically have the power to decide everything, from creative freedom of the artists to their social media management. Most of the artists in SK are under big shot management companies. If you are liking Blackpink's songs, then you can also think of checking out other groups like Shinee, BTS and ITZY. You might like their songs too :)

Jon, great reaction. Actually, before you go to Lisa's Money, which is totally awesome, now is a good place for you to check out BP live performances of DDDD, the one at Coachella (which generally follows this MV) and the Remix version of DDDD, at the sold out 55,000 capacity Tokyo Dome, which is night and day different. These girls are live performance monsters. Just to give you an idea how they have ended up here. Lisa has been training in dance since the age of 4, competing solo since the age of 6, competing in a national level dance troop since the age of 9. At 13 she was one of 4,000 talented teens auditioned by YG in Thailand, and the only one selected for their Training Program of about 40 girls that went through similar auditions throughout Asia and Australia (where Rose was the only one selected out of the 700 that auditioned). Lisa then trained 14 hours a day, 13 straight days, one day off for 5 years before debuting, eating at the company cafeteria, living in the company dorm (they all actually lived together in the same dorm room), no dating, no driving, no tattoos allowed. Over those 5 years the girls were rated monthly on solo, group and dance performances, where they designed their own choreo's, wrote or edited existing songs, picked their wardrobe, and where the girls faced brutal and cold-hearted appraisals (Jennie's words). The 40 girls were whittled down to these 4, the Best of the Best. Jennie was in the program for 6 years, and is the sole survivor of her Year 1 class. Each member often thought about quitting (all 4 come from very wealthy families so they didn't have to do this). So, to have survived and excelled in the brutal YG Training Program, not only are they beautiful and talented, they are total savages. They came out of that Program ready to take on the North Korean army, let alone a little old live performance.

They have a lot of songs following this song structure but they also have really good b sides with more variety that I recommend you check out (crazy over you, love to hate me, see u later, really, forever young, don't know what to do) and slower songs (stay, hope not, you never know), also their very first songs are great (boombayah, whistle, playing with fire, as if it's your last). Lisa, Jennie and Rose do have solo songs (Jisoo will have hers too in the future), it's true that Lisa raps in hers but it's still a mainstream kind of album. If you wanna check more k-hiphop/k-rap you should check out Mino and Bobby, they're both from the same company as Blackpink, YG. Mino is in the group Winner (they have slower and more poppy songs) and Bobby from the group iKON (they have a more hiphop sound), but they are both great rappers. They took part in the earlier seasons of Show me the Money, a survival show for rappers. Bobby won and the next year Mino finished runner up. I'm telling you this because especially in the first seasons (now there are like 12) the competitors were established underground rappers and to this day these two remain the only idols (at the time underground rappers had a lot of prejudice against idol rappers, they didn't consider them real rappers) to ever make it this far in the show which gained them a lot of respect in Korea. They both have full albums outside of their groups' activities and they also have a unit mini album, which in kpop usually indicates when members from a group or from different groups under the same company collaborate, it's called MOBB.
