This is so good and I apologize that so many people are claiming that this is sexist or in some cases transphobic? The art is amazing and the switch between scenes (sorry I forgot the word, begins with trans haha) is so smooth. I'd also like to point out as a woman and a history major this is not anyway sexist? I have read the comments about the negatives aspects of genderbending this musical, but always that I watch this I keep a mini-headcanon in my head. Maybe I'm over sharing something nobody care, but maybe someone like it too:3 I'm not changing the original musical or the real people, just a little inspiration that I thought after watching this. I have the headcanon about this animatic that, I know is a lot further from the truth, but about them being gay royals who had trouble adjusting to the paper they had to fill. Aragon would be a first born royal, but after he refuse to marry and the gossip about him being gay among the court starts to run around. The "No way" could be his way to tell them "You can't find anyone better than me" but at the end he is Dethroned (the closed thing to be "divorced" in this story) because they say is "below moral standards" Then Boleyn, would be a bi dude who marry a high status girl to improve his life, but after a while she discovers that he has been having several affairs with girls and other boys, so they execute him. Seymour would be a typical arranged marriage who, even being gay he decide to play along, and after a while developed some form of "friendly relationship" and "Heart of stone" would be a song about how he want the best for her, and even having a child together, like many Closeted people. Unfortunately, he could not meet his child because he died at the war. Cleves was part of an aristocrat family, and it turns out far inheritance to the throne, but they're expected someone classy and not a "party animal", they try to train him to be king but they find out he has been dating several man, but he is so popular that cannot make the topic public, so they pay him a big quantity of money to just "disappear from the spotlight" and find another person to replace him, so he ended up "dethroned" Howard is a mistreated young who has being abused many times in the past, because the important people used him but refuse to make public their relationship because it could affect their social status. At the end, he starts a relationship with the courtier's son, but they are discover and, in order to protect his own son, he accused Howard of perverting his boy, so he is executed. Parr is happily in a relationship with another man, but then his family decides to force him to marry an important woman, the "I don't need your love" will be his form of protest against society expectations. At the end, he survive the revolution and became an activist for the lgbt rights. I know is real people who existed, but this is a headcanon so different that it is not like changing their life or work. They make great things in their life, but this is some form of "historical fanfiction"in my head. Good vibes, and chill:3

I've notice a few things after repeating this over and over I'll mention those I like. First is how Aragon and Seymour are the only ones with actual crowns since on their graves they are dubbed queen of England, Cleeves has more of laurel headpiece showing that it may not be a royal crown, but his wealth practically making him royalty. Boleyn and Howard I love that they look similar bc they're related. Aragon is seen constantly not smiling and looks like the most mature and serious, while Boleyn is expressing more emotions than him. The court scene with Parr while the previous Kings watched him, bc Im sure being henry's wife felt like going to a courtroom one wrong move can get you executed or a potential divorce also rumor has it that Parr could of been divorced or executed and could of potentially be replaced with Katherine Willoughby but he thought it wasn't worth it and he died before anything happened.

I thought he just slid in the frame, but in actually he grabbed the camera to focus on him while the camera just zoomed in on the others. Is that a reference to the fact that K. Howard being the least relevant Katherine and literally had to make the camera focus on him, bc people considered his life as uneventful and uninteresting compared to the other Kings who had the camera focused on them even when they don't ask? I'll probably comment under this if I notice something, so sorry if it becomes annoying.

@@JonelzLeo Here I am again, I noticed this much earlier but I didn't wanna seem obsessed, but here I go! The last scene, which I cant believe I didn't realize much earlier, where Seymour, Aragon, and Parr are kneeling down pledging their loyalty to their wife. Aragon is expression is neutral, he was doing it out of duty because he was also Prince and has fully accepted this marriage despite his emotions. Parr looks sad because he had someone else in mind but since she is the Queen she calls the shots and he cant escape. While Seymour is the only one smiling because he was the only one depicted to actually have loved the Queen! I love that these three are the only ones seen kneeling and pledging their loyalty for her, because these three remained faithful till the very end whether it be out of duty, love, or fear. The beheaded duo it could be argued that they didn't cheat at all, but that is what they are known for and Cleeves swimming in his prenuptial money bc he wasn't even wanted anyway. This is really clever! A little tiny one this time, did you put Howard with the renaissance paintings because he was considered to be the prettiest? Young pretty much meant pretty at that time period right? Real clever there.

I am both pleased and disturbed that k.howard looks their age. Pleased cause their age is an important reason to why their story is so jarring. Disturbed cause seeing it really punches you in the face, reminding you how much of a creep henry was.

2:01-2:28 is my fav part!! the character design is amazing, its so clear seeing how Aragon is the serious one as he never even smiles in this whole video, and how Boleyn and Howard are obviously the younger ones in the entire group. I also dunno why but Parr's design is so lovely like it really conveys her(his?) character well. Wonderful work, love it, 10/10 would recommend

Guys I think I have discovered a masterpiece. Everything about this was amazingly beautiful! The characters have so much personality and variety. The animated bits were very smooth. The frames with and without backgrounds both showed amazing storytelling abilities. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS AMAZING! I have seen so many animatics for this song and this one, no doubt, is my favorite. Excuse me???? The talent???? The smoothness??? The designs??? The details???? Hand them over! 🔫 Joking aside, i absolutely adore the uniqueness you brought to the table. One can simply draw the stage costume of the queens and make the dress become pants or something. But you put a lot of thought into it!!! Like- Catherine of Aragon with the traditional king outfit and the jeweled crown, showing how most people acknowledge her as the rightful queen, the cold and harsh expression at times in the videos showing how uptight, prim and proper he is. Anne Boleyn's feral and chaotic expression, the shirt which open wayyyyy more than normal almost like a way to invite Henry in and of course the choker for the beheading(ironically Boleyn was the one to promote a more showy hair style which was deemed scandalous at the time where women cannot show their hair in public). Jane Seymore's flowing hair, the stone like crown (hehe i c ;D), general gentle and saddened look almost to show how docile he was in contrast to Anne of Cleve absolute king like and lavished fur coat. Also i like how he has a laurel wreath instead of a crowd, kinda symbolises how he was the only one who kinda got a peaceful end and some what of a win for divorcing Henry. Then Katherine Howard child like outfit with bow and more resemble of a young prince than a king is simply heartwrenching. And Katherine Parr constantly clutching his chest is just *chef kiss* Or maybe i'm reading too much into this. Great work either way though! I look forward to the next video but no pressure of course! ^^

I love the different designs you gave them like Seymore has that more fem flair, Cleaves looks ready to throw down or thow a party, Howard has the sass but also the YOUTH (it is criminally under appriciated that Henry married a goddamn teenager!) Like it's an animatic and even without the color coding you can probibly guess who is who based on the emotions you manged to fit in with so little ie Aragon's regality vs Parr's discomfort/reluctance
