It's interesting that you said that Cole was hallucinating. The psychological toll that is taken on the brain during a wartime situation is beyond what we could ever comprehend, I know this because I saw a fair share of it in the marines

The actor who voices Cole, also played the role of "Terrible Terry Tate" Office Linebacker in the commercials for Reebok. Lester Speight I believe is his name.

Just to let you know, most of the Lambent enemies are infected locusts! The base enemy foot soldiers are infected drones and grenadiers. Drudges are also infected drones except they have different stages of mutation: their arms, head, and torso, which can combine at times. You already know the Lambent wretches. That big guy called spewing imulsion is called a Gunker, and they’re actually infected boomers! You can tell by looking closely that they are infected butchers because of their apron and the fact their arm fused into the cleaver to create their giant tentacle arm!

By this point in Gears of War, Carmine getting killed was becoming a running joke in the community, and you can see that with how many times he nearly dies. Fortunately for Clayton, that stranded was a terrible shot…and he wore a helmet.

Gears of War 3's lead writer was Karen Traviss. She's written a lot of military/science-fiction novels and comics, and aside from Gears of War has also written extensively for the Star Wars and Halo franchises. Her most famous work is probably the Republic Commando series, which inspired the 2005 game of the same name.

Ever listen to the audible books to the Gears franchise? They got the woman that plays Anya to do the narration. Which is good, up until she has to imitate Marcus speaking! 😮 Not to mock the woman, but it is hilarious hearing her trying to sound like gruff and tough Marcus. I laughed and laughed.

Karen Traviss also wrote the Gears of War books that took place during the original trilogy. They were really good and she honestly caught the essence of all the characters. Also, just because she was the lead writer for 3 doesn't mean that it didn't have to be approved by the higher ups. If they didn't think anything would fit for the game then they wouldn't have approved it. The setting and tone of Gears 3 is mostly doom and gloomy.. for reasons.

I'm obviously not going to say what the result was but prior to Gears 3s release there was a charity sale of two avatar T shirts. One saying Carmine must die! And the other save Carmine! Whichever T shirt sold the best would determine his fate in the game.

Hi Jonesy great episode really enjoying this just noticed the female character with the hood and southern accent is Jenifer Hale, but yeah the banter is slightly different than the first 2 games, also nice skyrim hoodie, really like the outro screen and music, I know your very busy and can't always answer comments but thankyou for answering when you do.

Loving the play through! ❤🎉 I still say that’s how Cole sees about everything when in combat. Not always like a game, but something that keeps him in a good hype man mood. Can’t imagine what he was thinking when inside the worm in Gears of War 2.

The dialogue is definetly a bit more relaxed. The cog basically is no more, theres not really a rank system, government or anything. Its just survival at this point so theyre more.. relaxed? Is kind of a bad word but you know haha

Luving the playthrough and glad it didn't get spoiled for you about playing cole since he is your favorite. Since you like sci Fi with monsters I would recommend mass effect, BioShock and dead space. Dead space and BioShock or on the more horror/creepy side but they were great games during the gear's of war era

The Gears are all wearing the lighter summer armor. That's apparently the reason why you carry less ammo in this game. Here's a tip, give the Boomshot to one of your squad-mates instead. They don't run out of ammo so they can use it for longer. I hope you try to do some executions in this game. If you hold down Y on a crawling enemy you'll do a special finisher, each weapon has a different animation.

@@JonesySpaceCat yeah the game doesn’t teach you a lot of stuff. You can give them any weapon so long as it’s got ammo. Aim your weapon at them when you’re close to them. You can trade either their current weapon or the weapon on their back. Give them explosive weapons like Boomshot or Torque Bow and they they’ll make your life easier. It definitely helping my Insane run 😊
