Wolf at the Door is on permanent repeat these days. The soundtrack as a whole is a masterpiece and a rollercoaster of emotions. Parts of why I absolutely love the game, even when it's now starting to get long in the tooth.

Should anyone decide to produce a mini series or a movie series about this franchise should hire this composer again. And I also seriously hope whever makes a film treatment of this franchise should not screw up in its adoption since the scale of this franchise's world building is massive and one of the best political intrigues i've seen yet in sci-fi. This soundtrack made me want to learn more about the franchise's lore and been listening to it while reading the wiki's vast amount of content. :P

I wonder if harebrained schemes is doing okay. I genuinely love your music and love the atmosphere that they provide in the shadowrun games. I feel that their last two games I feel were a bit hit and miss in what they hoped to achieve. Necropolis had a lukewarm reception at best and Battletech got them sued. I hope that we get more shadowrun games and get to hear more of your music in the future.

Harmony Gold was fond ond suing everything similar to a Robotech giant robot around the world. They were bagged by Piranha Games in court, and sentenced with prejudice from ever doing that again. HBS and PGI are fine in this aspect. They are free to keep doing Battletech business, and they are doing good: 3rd DLC installment for BT, and MW5.

The Battletech tabletop game is very much alive. I received my Clan Invasion Kickstarter pledge at the end of last year and the new miniatures are amazing. Every Mech was resculpted. The Marauder is back to it's original form (with good improvements). Others too. The Clan Mechs were redone. The new Executioner sculpt is just awesome.

There's a certain repetitiveness in the devices used here that kinda rubs me the wrong way. I have the same problem with the work of Hiroyuki Sawano and I can't explain why but its just nails down a chalkboard. Some how it feels lazy, that its just calling back on things done hundreds and thousands of times before so barring some rare use of other sound, a lot of orchestral scores come off as "yup, I have no deeper understanding of the mathematics of music" and they just use the same drops and heaps and thromps and fades over and over again and all these soundtracks just disappear into each-other. Is this more down to what's asked of you by the people you work with or what?
