This game is perfect for me Simple rules, not 1000s of components, soloable, cooperative and competitive without being mean. Perfect for family gaming

Don't really understand what's the point of the 'board game' part. This could be played on a tablet without any paper+plastic stuff.,,

It's a turn off. Not backing.

No you don't understand, and this game is not for you. Go forth and play pokemon go then.

@@kosterix123 Did I offended you with something? If so, I'm sorry. I like these type of games, I pledged all in for Tainted Grail, 7th continent etc. Why do I have to play pokemon go if I find this game way too much app driven?

@@krisztianmohai5583 To me it is not only black or white. There is a grey scale. I believe this app takes care of the rules and makes the game more unpredictable. But it is still played on a table, together with other people (or solo) and you have to physically move/turn/roll stuff. I would get a whole other feeling from playing a game on my tablet only. Does it have to be only digital or only cardboard and plastic? Personally I find this game compelling and if you don't that is okay.

Look at the app as a digital book. This first and foremost a board game, meant to be played together, as a group, but instead of reading from a book or cards the narrative, we read from a device. This provides tools to the writers that paper cannot. All NPC are moving, have their own agenda, and will behave and answer differently based on your previous actions.

How big will the game board get in the course of the game? Is there a fog like JiME that lets you know how much space you need for the board?

I unfortunately don't know the answer to either of these questions, I was only given this one prototype scenario in my copy.

Is something wrong with the audio? The hosts voice sounds clipped off. Or is he just talking unnaturally fast?

He's an alien. Watch any of his videos from the past few years and you'll see what I mean. I have to watch in slowed time, playback .75x.

probably jon is a very slow thinker and has trouble articulating, but has overcompensated for it by speeding up the playback to x400.

Is this even a board game? It feels like an app game with some physical components
@kosterix1235 жыл бұрын
interesting ideas here but not good enough yet. The main reason for not backing this is the spelling errors. It's a pet peeve but it really needs far more polishing. I will back any 2nd edtion without a second thought, though. Plus no info whatsoever is given on android min version, or ios and what the shelf life of the app will be.

Don't worry! We will obviously proof-read all this prior to release before next year!

A bit too much App involvement for my tastes, I'm sure some will like this style but I would prefer a just physical game to play. Appreciate seeing it in play though, thanks!

Great production as always, but this game... so much of it is app-driven, it might as well be a video game. Definitely will not be buying because of that.

Same. I also have no interest in Chronicles of Crime for the same reason, no matter how good the reviews are. It's not why I play board games. to each his/her own, of course, but the moment I have to permanently integrate tech with battery life into my game, pass-a-rooney.

@@mattlowder plus you are depending on the life cycle of the app provider. if you decide to play a few years later you might find that you cannot download the app anymore and have a dead game. What to do then....

The alternative would be an adventure book with who knows how many pages. An app is just the simpler, cost effective solution. Theres a reason there are more and more board games with apps every year
@knighthawk37495 жыл бұрын
The advantage of app over the book is that it can be easily updated if grammatical, or spelling, or rules problems are discovered at a later date. Just like pdf book vs printed copy. And no matter how careful the editors are mistakes are always discovered once thousands of eyes examine the final product.

Nah... I play board games to get away from tech.

Once I was like you. But be real, you can't get away from tech, especially because of sloppy producers that require you too peruse bgg or reddit fora for rules clarifications and debugging.
