Considering this game for a Christmas present. Really appreciate the time and effort you putting into creating this video. Very well presented. Thanks.

I too have missed out on the patchwork train last year. Time to book a ticket.

Bought this when it came out and am finally getting around to playing it. You're my go-to for reviews and play-throughs.

Came here for the walkthrough, not the review. Very well explained in 5 min. Thanks a lot!

Thanks! I'm getting ready to play this on BGA and this is a perfect how to. It seems like a cross between Nova Luna and Isle of Cats. Looks like I'm going to have to buy a copy for real life play too.

Thank you for this review! Much better than Tom Vasel's version. Subscribed!
From the few plays I've racked up of this awesome game, I feel that the 7x7 bonus tile is a balancing mechanic to prevent taking all the large, cheap but awkwardly shaped tiles from being a dominant strategy. Not played enough to be certain though. Great review, I love this game!

+Anthony Hughes That's a very interesting point, I may give that strategy a shot next game and see what happens.

You don't have to put all the tiles on the board, just keep them in a bag. Only the next 5 or so need to be shown. After emptying the bag, there are already a dozen patches taken, so I don't see why this would not work for 3 players. However, it would have more often that people "run out" of patches, and that would kinda ruin the experience. On the other hand, you could go for that. So.

+Kosteri x Interesting point about setup. To get a 3 player variant going I think you could also custom create 7x7 boards and use 3 of them. This would be 147 total spots on all boards vs the 162 of the 9x9 two player game. An interesting though anyway :)

if quilt spaces must be squares, nearest to 2x9*9 is 3*8*8. I know someone who quilts IRL, and nothing is ever square, so to go with theme 3x 7*8 would be a better approximation. Also I would add bonus points for the first one to reach 5x5 (5 points), the first one to reach 6x6 (6 points). Oh if i had time I would make it and shoot a video. 4 players would make the tile selection a bit too chaotic.

+JonGetsGames Yep, that B-looking thing is actually a German letter called an "Eszett" (pronounced ess-set). It's a "sharp S" sound. So when you see an odd capital B in the middle of a word for no apparent reason, and you see that the bottom doesn't actually close, you'll know you've found an eszett. #wordnerds #ß
