Let's face it-the average person who works very hard is just making ends meet! These people don't really work that hard! Most of these TV evangelists live like the most elite of Hollywood and then some! How many times has Doug been on their show talking about women's and men's private parts in detail and how his (now) ex-wife gave him goosebumps as he was so in love with her YET as soon as Marcus dies, all of a sudden poor Dougie is in a HORRIBLE abusive, neglectful marriage! Spare me. And Joni just expects her children to accept him and the remarriage just like that at her demand. It's all about a spirit of lust for Doug and about her $$$Daystar Empire and she's throwing her own son under the bus and ignoring her own grand daughter's well being all for the sake of not allowing this divine empire to fall. God help her!! I've heard her on the taped recording cursing, not allowing Jonathan to talk, allowing other men to literally bully him, and I've heard Doug curse and literally yell at the top of his lungs...the bible says you'll know them by their fruits. I think they should continue to talk - as they do, they'll eventually expose themselves and the real motivation behind them coming forward which in my opinion has very little to do with their child. this has more to do with their insecurity about Joni's new husband and their lust for power - I don't care what they say. From their leaked recording of their meeting, I said to myself, if Johnathan was my son , I would not put him in charge of a ministry my husband and I worked hard to built - he doesn't have what it takes to run an organization such as this.
