What a genius! Even the way she speaks in stanzas and with such quick wit is something I wish I could master. Poetry in conversation is such an art. Only Joni.

I think you misinterpreted her emotions upon answering "no". Note, she did so with a smile. I think she just wanted to end the conference and that's how to do it sometimes.

I'm a singer and songwriter in Nashville for 45 years, and I just love, love, love Joni. Whenever I'm feeling a little down, I listen to Joni sing "Help Me" and other favorites of mine and somehow, I always seem to feel a little better. In the dictionary beside the word "cool", there should be a picture of Joni. I would consider it the honor of my life if I could spend just 5 minutes with her and tell her how much I love and admire her..... then give her a big hug. I do hope she knows how many millions of people love her.

She has a type of Saskatchewan accent that you don't hear up there as much anymore, unless it's someone of Joni's vintage. I love the sound and cadence of it, but have noticed when visiting it that is heard less and less as the years have passed.

Joni is hella humble, as well - that makes Joni even more mezmerizing, and an observance of Joni not being of this brutally sad world - that is just it, i believe Joni was Divinely place in our lifetime here AND how insanely fortunate we are for that issue !!

Love her and you can be proud of yourself every day. Not a loose comment in her moment of rejoice. So genuine and so true to herself. On top of her creativity, intelligence, originality, and expression Joni Mitchell is humble to an extremely decent degree.

The guitar and 'brain' she spoke of I believe was the combination of the Parker Fly and a Roland Virtual Guitar guitar processor thing, I forget the model, but if you research the Roland VR guitar series products of that time, you'll probably find it. I'm sure Joni super fans know the details. Her description of how great art (I'm sure includes music) embodies masculine and feminine aesthetics at 3:25 is just marvelous, yet said so straight forward. Sometimes you discover something that just opens a door inside you. Totally happened to me listening to that in this footage. .::Gary

Joni is my most favourite lady artist of all time. I have so much appreciation and respect for the way she has lived an authentic life. She stayed true to herself. She listened to her inner voice and did what was best for her. There was likely some pain and sorrows however we all know that art is inspired by love and pain. If I could, I would take care of her. God Bless Joni. ❤️

You can just imagine as she walked off stage, she probably thought to herself, What stupid reporters….which then meant she would wait even longer before speaking in public. Her message went way over these pseudo-reporters heads. You just can’t ask Joni the typical questions that most Billboard self-divas eat up. Result with Joni: higher plateau in talent and intellect, not surpassed yet.

An actual musician meets the modern music industry. It's a bizarre encounter. She made such great music for many years and for some reason they just caught up with her. But as she said the music industry today is not really about music, it's about selling an image, it's ephemeral.

@rodywithers35363 жыл бұрын
lazurm that answer sounds like an easily refuted cliche. The world is over-ridden with moronic questions. Even Joni was getting impatient.
@lazurm3 жыл бұрын
@@rodywithers3536 I realize that most of us get impatient with certain kinds of questions, usually ones that either come from a place that misses the point or one that is so heavily based on ignorance, the kind that we've always assumed wouldn't display itself at a certain point in life, that the question may hit us with sudden surprise bordering on shock. I know this. My point, though, is based on the fact that at the very least, most of these kinds of questions display an interest in the subject, a curiosity that is always welcome. More, we are born ignorant and therefore all of us were at some point in our lives where we don't know a subject. I don't think that anyone should be discouraged from asking questions because, from the standpoint of humility, we've all been there at some time in our lives and empathy is far better than arrogance. Keeping it simple, people shouldn't feel inhibited from asking questions that they honestly want the answer to. Learning is usually a good thing.
