The 60's and seventies music will never be equaled. And she was the best of the best.

What a beautiful song, she seems to have written a lot of great songs. Certainly the Grande Ole Dame of rock & folk music.

"Both Sides Now" may well be her best song... but "The Circle Game", for me, gives Joni Mitchell a seat at the most reserved table of songwriters ever.

That first picture is of Joni at the Big Sur folk festival, 1968 at the Eselen Institute. The stage was in front of a swimming pool. I took some acid and across the pool from me was an attractive girl whose legs were covered in hair. It was like fur. She would have had to shave twice a day to keep it smooth. Screwed up my head.

Yes, looks like Matala beach and caves. Still a lovely place away from the main tourist months of July and August. Neil Young wrote a great song about her called Sweet Joni and it's on KZbin.

Joni Mitchell is not a folk singer has not sung a folk song since 1969. What is your name and address, I will send you some Joni jazz and AND BRING YOU THE HELL UP TO DATE ON THIS FABULOUS PERSON'S WORK. LIKE THEY SAY IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT stop talking.

I grew up with Joni's music. Was a HS senior when first album appeared. Some great songs then. But she didn't last much longer after Woodstock and her far leftist views of today are a leftover of yesterday. Great music. Not so great person. Let's stop idolizing people like her.

That's incorrect. Her work has forever evolved losing fans and gaining fans along the way. She's gone where her muse take her, not where the money is. Always, forever changes, at the risk of sales. She's called "A Great Writer" for a reason. Get a clue.... Just saying. Right, just your opinion. Everybody got one....
