Me too, girl! Exactly. Tears of history. My dad gave me a guitar fir Christmas when I was seventeen, (now seventy-five!), and said "Just don't turn in to a Joanne Bez"! She, Baez, was a radical woman folk-singer. Ah, my people!⚠️🎸(Why is their no acoustic guitar icon in my iPhone??)

Wym. Joan Baez has been very busy. Her sister Mimi singing music too. Mary Chapin Carpenter very blessed and busy too. Lotta folk music if you like sad songs too. Troubadours of the folk era " is good , id you like folk music. Judy Collins, Ian and Sylvia. John Denver. I don't remember much else. The songs are too much sad. Brandy carlile before they won a Grammy is kinda like folk. Have a nice day

This is so profound. Such depth and emotion in this song. It’s so beautiful to watch Joan step back and let Mary shine. Their harmony is surreal. Very few can match Joan’s rich deep voice. Mary is just perfect for that and the third voice is so exponentially profound that it gives me the chills. Just brilliant.

I appreciate your comments and pretty much could not have said it better however, I don’t know, some thing about this didn’t sit right with me. At first I thought not enough rehearsal the two voices just we’re almost there but didn’t quite make it for me! Too tentative and didn’t really lock in I attribute this to not enough rehearsal. Just because two people are fabulous doesn’t mean that they can lock in together unless they work at it and I think the work went undone. The performance should not be the rehearsal time and that’s what this seems like to me. Please excuse me for expressing this I’m not trying to negate anything you said but it was my take on how this song struck me. As a singer musician the subtleties did not match for me. Peace

Two ever so precious souls. It must have been an honour to sing this very special song with Ms Baez. Who would gave thought a very young Chapin would have had the opportunity to sit at a piano as a young school girl teenager and sing a couple of songs with this gem of human being. I still smile at the twist of fate, or karma, as MCC's kind spirit and magnitude of humble talent would only seem right that they would become endearing colleagues and friends. Two treasures to behold. Fortunate to have seen them in concert together years back in Toronto as The Four Voices with the Indigo Girls.🇨🇦 🍁

In the chilly hours and minutes of uncertainty I want to be in the warm heart of your loving mind To feel you all around me And to take your hand along the sand Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind When sundown pales the sky I want to hide a while behind your smile And everywhere I'd look, your eyes I'd find For me to love you now, would be the sweetest thing T'would make me sing Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind When rain has hung the leaves with tears I want you near, to kill my fears To help me to leave all my blues behind Standing in your heart is where I want to be And long to be Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind

Here, let me fix that for you - Certainly -she- Joni Mitchell is the queen of alternate tunings. I like both of them, but Joni has about 50 guitar tunings she uses. Making it difficult to play her songs. But I see many standard guitar tunings of her songs are turning up on Ultimate Guitar. Catch the Wind I love and is easy to play on the guitar.
