But it's not really marriage with anyone other than Gemma, Serena, and Jade (poor Veronica is stuck in a child's body here, and despite being older than Serena, she acts more childlike). Maaan, I really wish Gemma could’ve gotten more development for me to actually, you know, care about her. Maybe it would’ve taken away some development from Hendrik in Act 2, but I think it could’ve been cool if she became a bit of a badass and helped lead her people to safety and protected them. Maybe they could’ve set it up a bit at the beginning of the game, with her watching closely how you fight and mentioning how she wants to learn how to protect herself in case you’re not always around to defend her or something. Then it could pay off in Act 2 with her NEEDING to learn how to fight to help save her people. Could’ve made her a bit more interesting than just “helpless village girl you care about because the game says you do”. I wouldn’t even necessarily want her as another party member or anything. Just give her something that makes her interesting. Cuz right now the only reason to marry her is because the game treats it like the “canon” choice, or because you want custody of the dog.

Jade feels more like a big sister to Eleven, so their "romance" feels more platonic. Sort of reminds me of Lanz and Sena from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Veronica is like that little sister that is stark mad jealous of her sibling because her protein was not active, thus stunted her growth. Serena is a sweetheart, but she sounds more like some weeaboo's figment of imagination, AI-style. Still, quite the charmer, much like Pyra and her cooking. Gemma is that close friend that has been through the trenches with you, and comfortable enough to fart and burp around you.

Nice to see they added this I remember it feeling soo weird in the initial release that the MC + Jade pairing was all over the place or any other female character for that matter in the party and then in the end you could only pick to marry Gemma who had pretty much 0 presence in the game outside of being the MC's childhood friend. There wasn't even a scene or anything just an option to get married to her so to leave no regrets for the final battle.

In the postgame, After defeating the final boss, you have to rebuild Cobblestone. I advice checking out guide how to rebuild Cobblestone. Once the village has been fully restored, you need to complete The Disciple's Trial. After you beat the trial, you can make a wish, and you can choose the option to be with someone forever, and then you can select that person you choose.
