Hey man, your videos are awesome. Love the thought and intention you put into the layout and all the details. I just bought a house and I’ve been in analysis paralysis mode trying to solve the problem of “I have two desks because work and play are separate but I don’t know the best room layout” for months and this video reminded me that nothing is permanent and everything is changeable.

On the one hand, I like the wood-slats-and-dark-grey-walls-and-furniture look, a lot. On the other hand, a decade from now it seems likely to scream "2024!". Does anyone have an argument that this is a look that will last?

It’s now it’s almost 2025. The slatted wall is a good look but I’m more into the light & airy look but with maybe one accent wall. I like the floating desk look in the center of the room. I think the working in the corner look has left the room. Thank goodness. I don’t want full built ins but I like to get 3 or 4 low cabinets close together depending on the size allowed.
