So glad you found Jonny Lang. My hubby and I love his music. I've seen 14 of his concerts (one with Sting and Kep Mo in Chicago's outside Grant Park). He signed one of my guitars - I met Jonny 4 times after concerts. He is super nice and kind to his fans. Discovered him when the Blues Brothers 2000 movie came out in 1998 - Jonny is the Custodian performing in 634-5789 at end of movie. A must see. More Jonny Lang tunes I enjoy are: We Are The Same, A Quitter Never Wins, I am (written by Prince), Still Rainin', Wander This World, Make It Move, 1997 version of Lie To Me (at age 16), and many more! You might also enjoy his CD 'LIve at the Ryman Auditorium' (in Nashville, TN). I blast it when I'm out driving around.

I'm here now-2024. - The first time I saw/heard Jonny sing was on a Crossroads Guitar Festival DVD. Looking down the list of artists on the back of the cover, I wondered who is this Jonny Lang? And when I watched him sing a song I'd never heard before--Give Me Up Again--, I was amazed. This guy was singing from someplace deep in his soul and it ruled/guided his powerful vocal expression every single second. Was this really happening? I thought I'd found gold--a treasure. I've seen him sixteen times since that discovery. I miss him and his music, but I kind of think he needed a breather from the music business and always being on the road. I think besides his voice problem, his family became his number one. Sometimes his wife and children traveled with him, but I think now he's put down his anchor and docked his ship. He was/is a gift. I'm glad I got to witness it. This video might be from that festival.

Yeah Janet, the best indeed and such soul you can feel it. I've been playing harmonica for 35 yrs and it's a dream of mine just to jam with him. I have harp solos on utube. They are mostly titled Jimmy C. Check out my Jimmy C and Eric Clapton jam and Jimmy C cycle time Blues (a funny solo about production work in ejection molding) see what you think.

Amazing!! Keep in mind how young he is in this video. I love raw, from the heart & soul singing and playing. He has it. Thats my kind of performance. As a professional singer we live for this. Ask any musician. We have an out of body experiences when we perform from the soul. You can see he has totally left his body while performing this tune. I love this song. I want to cover it. Jonny Lang is an extraordinary talent!
