I first heard, saw on TV, this kid at 16! Blew me away!!! He still does! Hadn't seen much lately until last night 2/17/2024 on my local PBS station with Buddy Guy!! So happy to see him again & watching the 2 of them was like being in on a jam session where they were having so much fun!! Incredible blues, shredding those guitars & vocals!! I'm guessing you can find it on PBS somewhere under Buddy Guy. 🤩😁❤

What the fuck does that even mean? It's blues, blues never gets old, blues transcends all time. It's not some fucking pop tune that should have got old and tired a long time ago, it's motherfuking blues, good blues will always be listened to no matter what no matter what time no matter what year no matter what century no matter what planet blues will never get old. Everybody is listening at any time all the time. It's the blues dumbass

This kid is true to the game, he's a real musician and stands by the blues. Unlike the tilted cap followers who make a sudden hit by spinning a few records no instruments involved. His style, the look on his face, the profound grit he belts out lyrics with screams he is here to perform. We all agree on many things we love about him, well here is one more, he no doubt blew the frigging doors off the Conan show and most likely had to politely decline possible lip synching by saying I can't fake the blues, but as a true showman I will give you a top shelf performance
@MrNostalgiaX

Shit, who can rock the blues like this at 16 years old? Wow, I've always liked this guy, even back then. In 1997 I was like 12 and I loved it when this song came on the radio when it did. This guy can rock and he really gets into it. Wish he had a bigger career though. John Mayer came out a few years later and ended up being well, John Mayer. Honestly, I like John Mayer but I've always been more partial to Jonny Lang's music. It's more raw to me and the way he brings it is just awesome.

There used to be a file-sharing service called AudioGalaxy, from which I used to listen to stuff, about 19 or so years ago. I heard an unbelievable version of Robert Johnson's 'Malted Milk' on it, by an act called 'Jonny Lang and The Big Bang', from an EP (I think) called 'Smokin'. Little did I then know that it was being performed by a 13-14 year-old Jonny Lang. It was just brilliant! Been a fan ever since.

Yeah that was great. Jonny you need to put that type of performance back into it. As time goes on, we seem to lose some of the drive. That was GREAT.

👍 🎸 🎤, esp by a 16 yr old boy! I’m about 70, and only just discovered Jonny Lang a week ago. The video I 1st saw was fairly recent, and he was his mid 40’s IIRC. Now I found another one to keep searching for more music from! Reminds me of the young Derek Trucks - when someone is that talented so young, they must have been born with music in their blood 🩸!
