Take note that Lang wrote the song at 15, you're watching him in this video at 16, & he was on his first world tour at 17. This LA native's seen many "legends", this guy's the real deal -

Nope, he didn't write the song. Look it up.
@joesmith-es5kc14 күн бұрын
@@raiderfandew Surprised by comment, from everything I've read. Did look it up. Song was a collaboration between Lang and Bruce McCabe. So, while not the sole author, still pretty impressive for a fifteen-year-old.

Jonny Lang cut his debut album in Memphis when he was just 15, and, upon its release in 1996, the guitar prodigy from Minneapolis instantly became one of the leading lights of modern blues. He's a fast and flashy player whose approach rests equally on technical assurance and musical intelligence. Sizing up a dozen songs, he gets a pleasing, razor-sharp sound out of his ax while building excitement in his lead lines

Johnny Lang , best artist of the year for the lie to me album , period ! At 16 years old to manifest this kind of creativity and soul connection is phenomenal and near impossible ! Thank you Johnny and long life to you , you’ve touched the hearts of the most sensitive people in the music world and we love you!

He came out of the womb with the blues! I've seen him twice in concert, and he was fantastic. The fact that he's toured with people like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith and the Stones when he was still a teenager tells you everything you need to know about him.

I agree. But maybe music is still music but viewer and viewer of our younger "generationals" do not get introduced to real music. That's the real sad part.

all these years later, and I STILL have a hard time believing that this voice and this sound came from a young 14-15 year old boy! SUCH AN AMAZING SOUND! gives me chills.

I remember seeing him play his HS Homecoming game 1/2 time show back in the day. Too bad he 'changed' and is now 'lost' the the BB King status he once had.

1:47 My kids knew Johnny Lang before I did. I love his bluesy strumming, matching voice. This chy'l was born to jamm the neighborhood on the porch. Only he can do it straight up given him by GOD the Master of Talent in Heaven sent him down to entertain us lonely ol' souls wantin ol' strum blues baby..

0:47 dad played guitar and taught lessons. He was old school and loved the blues. He wouldn't play blues too often on amplified sounds because of prejudice. I asked him to teach me and he did. 😅

I was at a college bar in Winona, MN in 1996 playing pool when this young punk jumps up on the pool table with an electric guitar and starts jamming to us. I couldn't believe it. He couldn't have been 15 years old at the time. So much natural talent.

I got to back stage with Jonny on his 21st birthday in St Louis at the Pagent and he was so humble and honest with all of us there and I'll never forget it. He is a class act and a great guitar player and singer! You rocked it my man. Thanks for letting me enjoy the moment with you my man!! You are the greatest Jonny!

I come from a music-loving family, my mom introduced me to this song when I was about 11 or 12, and I love KZbin because I was able to find it again after a long time and it remains one of my favorites. This guy was such an underrated guitarist and singer. He's played with the legends, B.B King and the rest. He still makes music but unfortunately, his website says he is having vocal issues and had to cancel his shows a couple years back. I haven't found anything on him ever since, but that's a damn shame, because his voice here is awesome, and you can tell he feels the music.
