Johnny's voice takes you to the edge... his guitar pushes you off.

Are you sure its not his guitar that takes you to the edge - and his vocals push you off....😀😀

He understood Blues and life very early. He delivers like no other. Blues is alive through him! Brutally if necessary! Little Jonny was a revelation. Jonny Lang is a confirmation at every step.

And to think this was in 1997 and Jonny was born in 1981. Not too bad for a 16 year old kid, eh? He's an old black blues artist trapped in the body of a skinny white kid. Awesome.

Where does this kind of soul come from? In a teenager who hasn't experienced life yet? A very old soul indeed. Love ya Jonny, for many years. You're blessed for sure.

One of the very few singers of this song who could actually pass as a little school boy too : )

Yes, he was : ) and that makes the song all the more relevant than someone much older singing it. I love that version.

He has been playing since his early teens, he was in a band in Minneapolis at 16 named Kid Johnny Lang and the Big Bang. I saw him many times at that age. He can play SRV just as good as Stevie.... One of a kind!

OMG - he really is barefooted. I think he has a little bit of Stevie Ray in him to be sure, but he definitely has his own style.

@jageon You pretty much described how I feel about jonnys music change. He's still amazing and cool to listen to, but now who is going to be the raunchy, gritty, blues guy you can have a few beers and bob your head to. I wish he did both. He played Rack em Up at a show recently and it was a soft little piano blues song with falsetto vocals in it. That made me a lil sad.
