The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!

I don’t care about their prime, it’s 4 regardless. Pippen is absolutely shutting down young Lebron. Magic is not letting CP do anything. MJ and Kobe would go hard. Robinson vs Howard? The whole time, no one’s stopping Barkley. When Stock and Malone comes in, it’s a wrap, game over. The problem is each player is a copy of a better more experienced player. You got lil MJ, Lil Stockton, You got Baby James and Pippen ain’t having that. Who is out shooting Bird? Dwight is truly going to get bodied by Robinson, Malone, and Ewing is going to intimidate all except Kobe. Carmelo is my guy, but Pippen ain’t having that either. Did I mention Magic yet? What are we doing? The IQ test reveals the Redeem team getting blown out because they were dominate physically which meant exhaustion. The DT was so effortless, they passed the ball like everyone wanted to get the most assists and watch the other show out. RT would have jumped higher moved faster, but not faster than the ball movement of Bird, Magic, Stock, MJ. Baby Shaq could jump out the gym, but he wasn’t going to keep out jumping Robinson and Ewing. And again, who was going to stop the round mound? He was 6’7 to be generous and no one on his own team could slow him down. Not Ewing, Robinson, Malone, maybe Pippen his teammate. As soon as Kobe or Lebron come off their man, their whole team gets abused like prostitutes. Howard will easily find himself banging and trying to front too many bigs in that, he will be out of position all game. If you watched, you saw a bunch of old men barely breathing hard and the RT tired sweaty and aggressive. The father and and son bull analogy comes to mind. Son speaks-“Dad, let run down their and catch a cow to fuck!” Dad replies- “ son let’s walk down and fuck them all.” Save your energy and don’t scare them, they’ll bend over instead of running away. LoL. I kinda switched the words a bit

All 5 in their prime and with Jordan and pippen as bulls teammates and Stockton and Malone as jazz teammates 2 of the greatest duos of all time. Stockton pretty much would feed the ball to Jordan and Malone 2 of the greatest scorers and well talking about defense that’s five of the greatest defensive players you’ll see with Robinson blocking balls and 3 of the all time steal leaders with Mj and Stockton and pippen and Malone as 2 great lockdown defense. I got this starting line up in a sweep. Their is no way they are loosing a game agains the redeem team.

I don't think the redeem team is a better roster but I think a team today with Curry, Harden, Lebron, Durant and Davis. With Lillard, Klay, Kawhi, Tatum, George, Paul and Zion off the bench would be more interesting. Realized that there's like no even respectable American centers today to have in this conversation so this team would have to be running and shooting alot of 3s. A group of Americans will never be as good as the Dream though, maybe if able to add guys internatiomal players like Giannis, Jokic, Doncic, Embiid and Gobert would make it alot more interesting.

As it was, he wasn’t heavily played, Pippen would be the player to gauge against. And the redeem team had Jason Kidd, he’s taken more teams to the finals than Chris and Deron combined. Consider: Malone, Barkley, Robinson and Ewing had NO equals on the redeem team - they would feast and the game plan could easily be changed for them to feast. They would feast offensively and defensively - they were tougher. Barkley feasted during the Olympics. Defensively, Stockton, Pipen and Jordan would feast and channel them right into Robinson and Ewing who were great shot-blockers - Robinson being one of the best ever. Malone was more muscular and physical than ANY on the redeem team. He was a beast. The drawback for the Dream Team was really Bird being injured and Magic coming back from retirement. Otherwise it wouldn't be much of a competition because Bird was a bad, bad man and incredible team leader and so was Magic! The Redeem Team would have to resort to long distance shooting with a hand in their faces over great defenders.

I think in a single game the Dream Team wins by 20+. I say this due to them all being more used to the physicality compared to the Redeem Team players, plus their ability to play together as a team. In a 7 game series, I believe the Dream Team beats the Redeem Team in 5. I think the Redeem Team steals one game based on their mentioned perimeter shooting, but as you stated, the Dream Team had some of if not the best perimeter defenders of all-time, so the Redeem Team isn't going to get away with that for long.

If MJ knew his GOAT status was being contested by both Kobe and Leflop, there is no Universe where MJ is losing. He would go off like we've never seen before, minimum of 50 points a night while ALSO locking down either Kobe or Leflop so that only a fool would ever think that there is a debate. No disrespect to the Black Mamba, the man was a killer, but 9 games out of 10, Kobe would just end up bricking his team out of the game sense unlike MJ, he couldn’t get 50 at will. I agree about the MJ GOAT status factor. One thing to keep in mind when it came to MJ is that he got better as the stakes went up and he always looked for a reason to prove himself and this would be the ultimate contest. He always said his favourite games were in Monte Carlo when he was practicing against the dream team and they were doing those scrimmages. It would be just like that playing the redeem team, and also recall that one incident in Monte Carlo where Magic's squad started up against MJ's squad and Magic was up 12 to 2, Magic talked trash to Jordan and told him "you'd better turn into Air Jordan or we'll blow you OUT". Jordan's response was that his eyes got real big, came back with two three's in a row and then 360 dunk on David Robinson. (As told by Magic) So then look at the Redeem Squad, Kobe would cover Michael on Defence and would do a better than decent job at trying to contain him. I think it would be Pippen covering Kobe similar to the 91 finals when Phil Jackson switched and put Pippen on Magic rather than Michael guarding him. Pippen is slightly longer, and can expend more energy focusing on the toughest defensive assignment leaving MJ more available for offense. MJ would lock down Lebron (an easier defensive assignment than Kobe) and likely want that task anyway seeing as how Lebron openly states that he is the chosen one and next in line for Greatest of all time. (If you recall the 2013 all star game, what happened when Michael compared Kobe and Lebron for greatest player in the game, that fueled Kobe to lock down Lebron on that game and cancel him out. MJ or Pippen could do the same to Lebron. Kobe on the other hand would still be able to get his points, unlike Michael however, Kobe pushes his way through bad shooting if necessary to get his results and his lack of efficiency on the offensive end would hamper their over all offense. As others have mentioned the rest of the dream team squad would out match the Redeem team squad particularly with the big men and the dream team would win likely by 6 if not sooner.

I am the biggest Bird fan you'll ever talk to and I will ALWAYS say that 1984-86 Bird was the best player I've ever seen; but to say he was a top 3 player in 1992 is not true... Bird did not even make an all-NBA team in 92 and didn't play in the all-star game due to injury. Malone, Robinson, Barkley, Ewing, Drexler, Pippen, Mullin, and Stockton were all more productive in 1992. I'd take the massive front court advantage of the Dream team as they could still match-up with redeem on the wings.

While Jordan's better than Kobe there's not a huge gap between the two if they're both in their primes. Jordan would definitely have to bring his A+ game to expose his slight advantage over Kobe in his prime. No one's dominating either of these great players in their primes.

Those of us who were have no reason to expect otherwise. The one advantage the Redeem Team would have would be negated by the short 3 pt. line in international play. At that range MJ, Drexler, and even Barkley would become viable threats. Let alone Bird, Mullin, and Stockton. Due to the physicality allowed by the European officials, the Dream team would have to of had the advantage as they tended to experience something similar in NBA at the time (hand checking and hard fouls at the rim). I do appreciate your analysis of the bigs. The Dream Team would be able to control the paint easier. The largest advantage of the Redeem Team had to be in the point guards. Magic was notorious for getting beat by quicker guards (the major reason the Pistons beat them in '89). Stockton was also injured for awhile on the Dream Team. The combination of Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Jason Kidd could dominate. The shooting guard and small forward position could have went back and forth depending on who got hot in the game (Jordan vs. Bryant or James vs. Pippen).
