Hi. Your video was very helpful up to the step where you need to disconnect cable connections back of the cover. It was impossible to disconnect them and as you know they need to move to make room for the cover to lift clear. I took a different, much cleaner, less trouble approach. I disconnected the negative on the battery and proceeded to disconnect all 3 connections to the alternator which has tons of space to maneuver. I would recommend to anyone to go this route vs back connections. Peace out

@@jvaca1972 thanks for sharing, this must be on a different engine than the one I did. The 2.4l, I had no issues like that but maybe yours was 1.5l and battery was in the way 👍

Thanks for making this video, it helped me replace mine (I changed out the valve cover and spark plugs at the same time as well). There were a lot more clips and connections to move than you mentioned or showed, but this showed where a lot of them were and most of videos out there are for 1.5L, which has a pretty different set up. I managed to figure this all out and do the repair in about 2 hours and I'm not even close to mechanically-inclined.

@@xiradio You're welcome, happy to help. I don't have experience with that one specifically, but it should be pretty much the same process. Just take pictures of it while you're taking apart and of the spots where there was sealant before cleaning so you can put back how it was 👍 should be good to go.

@@jae7230 they do start to burn a little bit. Make sure to just keep the oil topped off between oil changes. You could also switch to 5w-30 to help it burn a bit less since its a bit thicker 👍

@@ldenorio yes I meant to say around 100k miles with Iridium plugs. You can change sooner or later. I've had them last 150k+ miles, but maybe those were outliers

Not really, my Accord (2015 235K miles) still has the original spark plugs, runs great.
