I don't see Pinkpop as the biggest festival. They are just as big in my eyes as Tomorrowland. There are other big festivals, but they can't really be compared to these 2. Pinkpop is huge. Remember that the festival site is 27 hectares, which amounts to 45 football fields. They have 3 stages there and a campsite for people who go all 3 days. Just about Joost Klein, I think he will definitely participate again next year (at least try). It could also be that the EBU will soon have to meet the Netherlands (after the court ruling) if they want the Netherlands to participate next year. That participation is now uncertain. AVROTROS is still considering participation. So it could be that Joost will participate again next year with a different song and then move directly to the final in 2025 without having to participate in the semi-finals. We'll see what happens, but I find the development very interesting at the moment.

Joost was opening of Pinkpop saturday, 1200h/. Not much ppl. He's best performer Netherlands got. So much hits he got. Everything in his own control. He is managing the sh*t. And yes. Ill hope he kicks some ass at ESF 2025. Best export product Holland got. Soost is victem of EFS management. The re is no proof he was violence. His song was 2 perfect for this festival. Pls listen Florida at Pinkpop.

2:45 This is his pianoman, a very close friend: That's an excerpt from the live performance in the 2nd semi-final from ESC. He's also here on this stage with him. You can see him better in other videos. I think he had pretty much all his friends with him at this gig who were also in Malmö with him together. That was really a united sign from all of them together not to let it end with this forced EBU ending.

Its indeed not a very good recording of his ( whole ) performance. You see a moshpit I think. These videos come by bits mostly recordings from personal phones for now. The official video will come later, people of the Dutch music channel npo2 extra, said in a statement. Joost made of the whole performance a complete statement. Sort of more creating a new dust cloud, full of hints and emotional messages. And one moment he himself says" I dont know whats in the air today"

You are correct. At this moment the European Championship is the main topic. And Joost was at the very last moment put into Pinkpop. So a lot of people did'nt even know he was there.

So I think the EBU is doing their very best to cancel Joost. Dutchies often sang his song but there's no video see it. I think it will leak though, thanks to the thousands of smartphones these days.

The sad state of "live" gigs

Pinkpop started in 1970 (Geleen) but got too big and moved to Landgraaf, and it is more pop geared in general. Last year there was Pink amongst others. Yesterday was Avril Lavine, so it is diverse in the groups/bands that come. Joost's music is very typical for Lowlands, in my opinion. Lowlands started in 1993.

As far as I know, Joost usually attracts loads of people around this time too. Perhaps it was unfortunate that the weather wasn't always good. However, there are videos from the stage showing the audience and it looks pretty crowded.

That means this chapter didn't end on May 10 😊 Now it's once again carefully watching all the details ... I hope we get better footage sometime.
