Part 1: • Jordan Belfort (Wolf o...
--------------------
In this clip, Jordan Belfort detailed going from giving motivational speeches for free to charging over $200,000 an appearance after years of rebuilding his reputation following prison. At this point in life, Belfort explained how he doesn’t measure success simply in dollars and cents, but rather focuses on the carefree life he lives. Elsewhere in the clip, Jordan Belfort gets a little annoyed with Vlad and accuses him of pushing a particular narrative as a result of his line of questioning.

it's also like a way for them to slip up to see if they're lying, if a person is lackadaisical and don't realize it they may answer differently when you ask differently. That's why dude got offended because Vlad really played the cross examination game like a cop. Interview went from feeling like "here's my story" to him feeling like he has to defend himself again. Idk why Vlad did that, really dumb interview move he should know better than that by now.

No Vlad, he didn’t get mad because you asked if he “feels guilty about his crime” he’s mad because you asked a question he had already answered 20 times in this interview. And for a guy that articulates his points so clearly, like Jordan does, shit could feel very annoying. Specially if he thought he was speaking with a professional. 🤦‍♂️

I didn’t see it that way. I fucking hate the way vlad asked questions, but what he was getting at was not the same thing. If you speed.. let’s say you go 90 in a 40 like you do every day when you need to get somewhere. You’re looking for cops and all that. The cop pulls you over and hands you a ticket. You can honestly say later “I was in the wrong and I deserved the ticket” but feel NO REMORSE for the danger you put people in. You may even do it again or not just not fully understand the guilt you “should feel”. Even saying “I put people at risk and i got caught for something I deserved” does not mean you really have tons of regret or sadness about what you did. It does not describe how you really feel. Jordan was high all the time fucking people over, so when he got sober and changed, it’s not unrealistic to ask if he got sad and had deep emotional regret. He did not go into that.

i feel the confliction jordan must have with his whole story. everybody is so fixated on the wolf of wall street story.. and he has answered to that story, and been over it a million times already. the dude built a whole other life after the fact, and had an insane comeback that a normal person wouldn't ever overcome. to him thats the best part of the whole story. but people cant get passed the old narrative. i'd be frustrated too

There is no such thing as guilt in modern day American culture. Belfort has been praised, revered, idolized, praised again, and worshiped. The people he screwed over, the vast majority of them ordinary people got burned, forgotten, and discarded. It’s only fair to ask him if he in fact does feel guilt, I’d be surprised if he does!

Here are the facts. He was ordered to pay back $110M but only $12.5M was collected. Then he tried to file an objection under the Consumer Credit Protection Act that the government could only garnish 25 percent, which was denied by the judge. He was asked to submit a payment plan so that victims (mostly middle-class old retired people who were scammed blowing their entire retirement savings) in 2018, which there is no record of him making any further payments. Are there any victims? Absolutely! Retirement funds for avg Joe’s are their hard earned money and just cuz they weren’t physically hurt doesn’t make this crime any less significant. Yes, he served time and it’s true there are bigger whales out there in the likes of Goldman Sachs but if anyone can put themselves in any of the victims’ shoes who hasn’t recovered a single dollar who may be watching these interviews + any sense of public glorification of his fraud era has to feel disgusting.

Pretty much how this entire country was established the minute they stole the land from the natives that lived here. You got to look at how the foundation is built when you buy a house. No matter how hot that house looks, that foundation can be fucked up and it's only a matter of time before that house comes crumbling down. So when it comes to what is illegal in this country? The historical truth is that in establishing this country, the founding fathers and every version of the government since then, has committed every single crime in the book. It doesn't matter if it is horrific crime or white collar crime. The United States government and its history has literally done it all. In this country and other countries. And it continues to do it. We continue to see that crime does pay. Even right now we see politicians literally using insider trading to make money. Something that is illegal. But the government can do it. However you better not do it. Like the guy said in the video, it's not that the government was upset at what he did, it was just two people in the government who was jealous of the fact that he got away with it. Because at the end of the day if most of those politicians could get away with it they would do it. 100%.

Crime is of opinion of man. Drugs illegal but you sell foods that is just as addictive and harmful as drugs. I know I have medical issues from food not drugs. The insurance game and tax games is fraud taking our money and not using it for it's true purpose.. The government stole people of color hustle and now making billions like alcohol gambling pornography protection fees. It's funny how people vote for legal criminal but have the nerve to question when regular people try the same. When it comes to crime and legal in this world and country morals don't exist or oly for the poor and of color
