Jordan Burroughs is the greatest wrestler of this generation in the United States of America. Burroughs came straight out of college to win his first World Championship in 2011 and hasn't looked back since. One year later, in 2012, Jordan Burroughs became an Olympic Champion. He won world titles in 2013 and 2015 and was bronze in 2014.
Most people know that much about Jordan Burroughs, he's been kicking but and winning World Titles for years. What they might not know is how the New Jersey native and Nebraska Husker got to be so dominant. My Name Is Jordan will give you the back story and insight into how the greatest wrestler got to where he is.

"Nobody is born A Warrior, in exactly the same way that Nobody is born an average man. We make our'selves into one or the other. When A Warrior learns to stop the internal dialogue everything becomes possible. The most far-fetched schemes become attainable. My son is starting his senior yr in high school, he’s been wrestling for two yrs and is has worked extremely hard and work hard and is really good, anyway I’m redoing his room for him and I’m making him a metal board with a wrestling saying I’m on it so I asked him what his favorite one was and he said mom actually how much room do you have , I said as much as you need why? He said I want this! And he played me the first minute of this , and well it won’t fit on the board so instead I’m making to cover his wall!!! You are truly an inspiration to my son and many many others, from a wrestling mom, a true wrestling team mom that has been to every match, except one tournament, I broke my back but still tried to go, I’m there not only for my son but every wrestler on the team , I just want to say thank you!!! It hardly seems enough but that’s all I can muster at this moment just a heart felt THANK YOU!!

Love this guy. The only problem is that he sees the struggle of his parents as a weakness. Instead of seeing it as perseverance, commitment, love and honoring of drive of his ancestors. The drive to overcome, match and conquer the oppression, disadvantage, doubt, hatred, marginalization faced by his fathers and mothers. And inspite of it all they fulfilled their promise to their ancestors and destiny...to give the world a better them with better opportunity...Jordan. That it's name. Honor your ancestors by remembering and honoring their struggle, sacrifice, survival and success.

Great doc thanks for upload FloWrestling. Jordan made a fan out of me vs Molinaro when I got a chance to see him in Atlantic City as a young high schooler before my chance in the same building a few years later. What a class act he is an a tremendous athlete. I really feel like a guy of his talent would get more crossover coverage, it was kind of frustrating seeing the Olympic Preview on NBC on demand and hardly a mention of a guy going for two golds. Was pretty disappointed when he didnt get the next gold. Happy to see he has bounced back and won world gold.

Jordan is a very humbling man! Never got to meet him but I do remember going to the Nebraska wrestling camp every summer(from 2009-2013)with Independence High based out of TN and the clinics are phenomenal!! Not sure if anyone remembers his name but McCoy Newberg was a teammate of mine that graduated 2 years before me and he wrestled for Nebraska for a short while. Very fortunate to have coach Grindstaff in high school!! He would sacrifice anything to help his wrestlers get to the next level. Praying for big things to happen for Nebraska wrestling and Jordan as well!!!

I've watched this the last 3 or 4 years in a row because it's so inspiring to see where he started then listen to his story threw high-school being a runner up then winning the State championship in New Jersey but not being recruited that was shocking I went to high school and wrestle at Paulsboro in New Jersey and I know how big wrestling is out here that's crazy anyway knowing how hard it is going to college your freshman year getting beat when your use to winning but sticking with it to keep grinning keep fighting seeing him take that next step it gives me chills Took more than a step he ran all the way to the top not just college but represents us and being the best in the world and stayed there for so many years..WOW what a ture league and genuine Good dude who will go down as one of the all time greats he's a icon and someone you can point to as proof look what's possible your going to have ups and downs but you pick yourself up learn and keep fighting grown you will get better at anything you want in life let's go

Sweet video! Well done! Interesting connection pertaining to Jordan's wife. She went to American University. Here's an interesting connection to NYS Sec 4 high school wrestling: Josh Glenn won D1 nationals. He's from Sec 4. Also from Sec 4 is Kyle Dake, Jon Jones, Troy Nickerson, JP O'Connor, etc. That place is a NYS wrestling hotbed. One of the Worthing bros -- from Tioga might be the next big thing out of that area.

Ahh many I loved wrestling and our team was always the best conditioned. We loved seeing the other guy get tired, breaking guys. When matches would go to over time you we always won... you would see the other guy huffing and puffing and you would be the first one back to the line just waiting... ugh it was awesome.
