Here's the thing, I have faith in anything Kellen uses. His tone is out of this world and I know he is a tone freak. I brought the ENGL Fireball on a wimb because he used one although I had never played one... By far the best amp I've ever used. I'm sure both guitars are amazing. I just only have experience with the LTD 1000 deluxe, and i fully stand behind it.

Yes I learned it by ear. It took me a few hours to learn the song. Took me a little while to get it as tight as this performance though. Kellen is a monster when it comes to his writing.

Coming from a fellow musician, you're a great player. My old guitarist had the same kind of guitar as you-- it plays and sounds awesome. Additionally, Memphis May Fire is my favorite band, and Challenger is their best album. You're a clean player, and you nailed the song. ...and I'm kinda sorta jealous of your studio set-up.

Depends on what kind of racks you use. As for me all I have is a power conditioner (which stabilizes the power to protect my gear) and a rack mount tuner in my desk, and a power conditioner and a wireless in my live set up. You can find just about anything in rack mount form though. I am currently looking into effects processors for live. I hope this helps you out.

I learnt the song in dropped G#. However MMF plays the song in a hybrid tuning. The low 3 strings are tuned to dropped G#, high 3 to C#.

Thanks man! I learnt it by ear yes. I generally don't research tabs because it's rare that you find one out there that is accurate. One thing I will do to save time when I am learning covers is I will watch other peoples covers. If there is a good one I will get a general gist from their videos. Feel free to do that with mine!

To be honest with you as a beginner i did not practice exercises or scales. I am a self taught musician and i focused on songwriting and tone as a growing musician. However in the later stages i found myself making up for lost time learning the basics. If you are looking for a good exercise book check out The Guitar Grimoire

Thanks man! Honestly all my equipment is software. I use Pro Tools as my DAW and GTR as the plugin for my guitar. That's all I use (for guitar covers at least).

You ready for this?.... For dropped G# tuning I use 12,16,24,44,56,70 lol. I had to buy individual strings and put together my own set. MMF however does a hybrid tuning of G# and C# and kellen uses 11,13,17,44,56,70.
