and there’s still some dumbasses sayin jordan ruined the band 🤣🤣 I’m glad this man’s talent is focused on nice tunes and not core songs
@Dwesk Жыл бұрын
Oh Jordan definitely didn't ruin the band, since he was a huge part of what made their best album (Sempiternal) as good as it was. I enjoy TTS quite a bit but my isssue with BMTH post-Sempiternal is mainly losing the identity they've built with the first four albums, as well as their output becoming quite inconsistent and borderline messy starting with Amo, I respect them for doing whatever they want and still growing as a band in every sense of the word, most of Post-Human was awesome and almost a return to form, but then they decide "yeah let's drop this tiktok bait song called Die4U" and then they drop one of the worst songs of their career. But that's the catch with BMTH, they are never the type of band I can just grow out of or stop caring about (like with many others that I loved in my mid-late teens), they release a few tracks I dislike, a few tracks I'm indifferent about and then surprise drop one of the best tracks they've made in a decade (Amen) that also showcases one of the coolest bands in the scene too, and once again, I don't think we would have Post-Human or Amen without Jordan Fish, and the band probably would've never gotten as big and couldn't have taken this many risks if it wasn't for him either.

He made the band more interesting. I mean Oli and the band had already decided to go down this root. And Oli Found Jordan while he was playing in his original electronic band. Oli was sometimes 1of 5 people watching them play. And he asked Jordan to join. If he hadn't found Jordan when he did, they may have stuck with what they were doing for a short time,untill they found the right electronic guy they wanted. But glad it was Jordan. It's very interesting and clever how all this is put together. Jordan saying, it's so simple. But you've got to have a vision and know what your doing 1st, so it's simple to Jordan. He's so modest. So are the rest of the band. Not cocky and big headed like Ronnie from falling in reverse. Hate when people let the fame get to their head. It's too cringe

Back in 2014, a while after the release of Sempiternal. A short masterclass was given by Jordan & Lee where they deconstruct 'Can You Feel My Heart' as an example for how a song can easily be produced by anyone. With the right knowledge and skills. I've cut together the highlights of this 30 min raw class, in hope to compile an educating video. So you can also learn how to progress in creating music.

6:17 is when you can really see what Fish brought to the band... the atmosphere and futurism. that almost witch house sounding synth is still huge in music rn and i really hope jordan pursues making his own music, whatever that may be.

11:33 “it’s real simple” c’mon Jordan 😂😂 it’s one of the greatest metalcore songs in the last 10 years and probably influenced the entire genre
@carolinecoy3164 Жыл бұрын
Haha. He's so modest. It's Only simple if you know exactly what your doing, aswell as having a vision and a great lyrics writer. They're amazing at bringing music together. And not simple at all. You could know exactly how to do this, but without a musical artistic bone in your body. It will sound a mess. Love this band.

Doesn't mean it's complex. It's still fairly simple from a musical standpoint.

i think where some people go wrong is trying to make something complex as to ‘make it a better song’ when really it could be doing the opposite, not always tho but i think there’s a time n place in a song where it’s appropriate

After 11 fucking years, I still find something new in this song, it's incredible. I was analyzing the multitrack of this song, I thought I heard everything it was made of. But! Jordan demonstrates at 7:11 that he mixed a female voice with the crash. And then I went to listen to the track again and I heard that "meeeee"!! This is fucking crazy.

I love these guys. The best and arguably worst part of being in a "band" is having others to bounce ideas off of. I wish I had that. I just make music all by my lonesome. Everyone I know who is into music (sadly enough) is more into drugs.

I feel like Jordan Fish to BMTH is like Mike Shinoda to Linkin Park. Not at all trying to undermind the other member's talent and ideas, but just pinting out how the core sound of most bands come from an individual member. Sempiternal and, most of all, That's the spirit are what Jordan is all about musically.

“It’s pretty simple” I think Jordan Fish has no idea how good he is as a producer, cause even tho the music might sound simple to make, the ability to come up with those ideas that matches the vibe and putting them together as an arrangement, conserving that beautiful taste is not a simple task to do, only him can do it, I hope he never leaves bmth, otherwise the band would be doomed
