So...when you find your distinct eigenvectors, how do you tell if they should be labeled V1 and V2, or V1 and V3?

You have a mistake in a very beginning 0:40. If lambda1 is not equal to lambda2, and lambda2 is not equal to lambda3, it does not have to be the case that lambda1 is not equal to lambda3. In other words, NOT EQUAL is not a transitive relation. :)
