When I was 23 years old I was out with two girls and a random man came up to me and told me not to let women destroy your purpose in life. At 44 I have been married twice and am currently separated. I have let women become too much of a focus in my life and have missed out on the other pleasures life has to offer as a result. It's a sacrifice I could have made back then but have been forced to make now. The continual need to be with someone and have someone validate you is a shitty substitute for finding inner contentment and being okay with yourself regardless of who wants you or not. Honestly, if you're young, find a dream that's higher than the fantasy of the perfect woman and you'll eventually find your dream and the perfect woman for you I suspect.

@demonicaxeman72643 жыл бұрын
That’s the same reason married women start gaining weight and marital sex starts to decline. You stop trying to be what made you attractive in the first place because you feel you don’t have to put the effort in, anymore.
@MrMatthewhg3 жыл бұрын
I've read some deluded crap in my time, but you win the prize. You are now older - as you admit yourself - and therefore physically unattractive to women. So am I. Welcome to the 80%, but remember how the opposite sex manipulate us. They rely on our misplaced vanity and trust in order to do so. There are no exceptions. As an unattractive man, you have very limited sexual options, and she knows it.
@helioflanaganveiga3 жыл бұрын
@@MrMatthewhg you have wrongly assumptions about my age and my level of attractiveness. I am no longer a teenager, but although I’m in my 30s, I don’t feel or look old and gray. As a matter of fact, I have a fitter body, a more confident attitude, and even more stamina than a lot of blokes in their 20s. Probably because I’m taking good care of my body and mental health. I have had experiences in America with serves flirting with me in front of my wife. I’ve had girls approaching me at the gym interested in me. I’ve been stopped before during my morning outside workout (running and doing push-ups around the Capital Building) by this girl because she wanted my number. All of these things have happened after I reached my 30s. You can blame the accent in some situations or the fact that I’m not American living in America may make girls more interested automatically. Whatever you may be assuming about me, only reflects your own insecurities mate. I voluntarily chose to marry a woman whom I believe is the best fit for me. I wasn’t forced into it. I saw more value in starting a family than sleeping around. It’s called maturity, not necessarily “getting older”. It’s also called evolving. Age is indeed an objective variable of life, but it is not the sole determining factor for attractiveness. Mate, I hate to see a fella struggle in life, so if you’d like my personal advice, on top of following Dr. Peterson (which is a great thing you do here on KZbin), please check out the channel Alpha M, with Aaron Marino. I promise you it will help you cope better with your self-esteem. Have a great day mate!
@MrMatthewhg3 жыл бұрын
@@helioflanaganveiga Well, firstly, thank you for your kind offer. The point I was trying to make was that as men get older, they frequently fail to recognise that they are no longer attractive to women sexually, but can offer them financial security. Unfortunately, vanity, and what you call self esteem issues mean that they are often in very deep denial about their new lower sexual status, and therefore become prime targets for manipulative individuals who marry them in order to secure a proportion of their assets in divorce settlements some years down the line, all the while reassuring the deluded man that they are still just as vigorous and attractive as any mid twenties stud. Anyway, great to hear of your successes and glad to know you have clearly avoided those pitfalls.
@MrMatthewhg3 жыл бұрын
Long story short, we all need to be alert to any tendencies within ourselves towards vanity, delusion and especially denial as the years go by. This is not just a male problem, women are equally prone to it - classic example being the middle aged woman who goes on holiday and is fleeced by a young Lothario who takes all her savings. Same thing, for men or women - a refusal to be realistic about our declining sexual appeal and a willingness to believe flattery.

have confidence my brethren, there’s a huge range of things that girls find attractive in men. Sadly physical appearance seems to be huge go to but not all girls are like that. Also! if she only cares about your physical appearance then she’s shallow because eventually you’ll both be old and wrinkly...those girls are a little superficial. Just work with what you got, highlight the great features about yourself always!
@backchattvsports29054 жыл бұрын
His observations are spot on in my humble opinion! If u are attractive to many people this means you are striving to be a better version of yourself which is a good thing your reward for improving yourself leads to more romantic options which is a meaningful reward but if one fully accepts this opportunity they actually decrease the value of what is meaningful and this leads to a loss in value.

Well, if you are really atractive, any woman will consider being with you, at least in the short term(sex) but if you can choose, then you will most likely choose the ones that you consider most sexually pleasing. Those atractive women that you would most likely choose have most of the time thousands of sex offers by many different men and have had their share of banal sex, more than you think they did or than they would like to let you know at least so any of those women at any point of time they put on their stank face are just being plain fucking hyprocrites, and in reality, maybe sadly, you having no idea how many people you´ve been with is a sexual boost for them.

I'm quite an attractive guy (you'll just have to take my word for it) and I've dated dozens of girls over the years. But when I reached my mid-thirties, I realized I wanted to have children one day in the not so distant future. And I want my children to have a good mother. And I want my children to have a father and a mother who are together in a stable relationship because I believe that is what will be best for them. I'm always going to be attracted to women, and I'll always be tempted to an extent. But if you want to settle down and start a family then you need to put your temptations aside and focus on the lives of your children. It's simply about growing up and taking responsibility.

Why dont you stop looking in a warped mirror of insecurity and start building yourself up with a good mirrior that shows flaws and good qualities unbiasely so that you are able to learn how to go forward instead of looking at warped mirrior that makes it impossible to see a path forward. The problem for most average dudes is that they still want the hottest girls. If you are a 6 then date women who are 6 maybe 7 but don't go for the 9 and 10s. I had a good friend who never had a girlfriend but he only tried getting the really pretty ones so he always got turned down. One thing this video misses is that not all women are super gorgeous either so there are still many women in the 5-7 range that are available. The problem is that most men lust after women who are 8, 9 and 10s. Those are the women who will always end up breaking your heart because they are always looking for someone better. If you are a 6 or 7 as a guy then date women who are more average looking and you will have plenty of selection. Those are still not ugly and much more down to earth than the 9s or 10s.

Being sufficiently attractive in the physical department is more important because you can't enter a sexual relationship without this condition being met. As if every guy in the planet is perceived with the same light when they act confident. I think not! A hierarchy will always exist. Perception will always be skewed based on how you look. Confidence is king after you meet his condition. It only sustains what was already alive (interest sparked by physical attraction). Let's morph your face to look like a girl and see how far your confidence gets you (assume you don't know of the change in appearance). It won't land you with a heterosexual women.

Women are more comfortable with their bisexuality these days. You may have even noticed more and more beautiful lesbian couples lately. Well as byproduct women are realizing they'd rather share a top man than settle for less. Yay.

And that’s exactly what I’m doing on these dating apps as a 30 year old attractive 6”0 foot chad/Tyrone (think Jeremy Meeks/Trey songs/Chris brown) I really see life from a different perspective. I have a fiancée but chest on her regularly free of charge with 18 - 25 year olds raw 😂 I’m broke to I still live with my dad. Can’t make this shit up. I have proof If anyone wants to call me out 🤣 why should I settle down now when I still have my good looks and height and women still get wet for me? Fuck outta here!

@Chidori457 I think the video says it best: most men (say, 80%) have only a small selection of women (say, 20%) to choose from. The inverse is also true; the top 20% of men have the lion's share of women (80%) available to them.

I think the video means attractiveness as in whatever is attractive to women. The richest men in the world can probably get more women than middle class or even fairly rich handsome men. Beauty (especially facial beauty) is very important for most people, but once you start hitting the top 1% (or even top 5%) of physical attractiveness, it starts becoming more subjective and personalised. I can always agree with someone on whether "x" person is attractive or not, but it's like impossible for two people top ever agree if someone is a 10/10. On the other, things like money, power, and fame are more objective and one dimensional, so far more women can agree on it. That being said, choice becomes less meaningful the higher up you go. If you can already attract a few thousand women, for example, why do you need a million? You can never go out with all of them and a few thousand is a large enough sample to have some pretty attractive women. But still, by definition, the feature that will objectively attract the most women in the world is an insane amount of amount of money and fame.

I'm more interested in the psychology behind why woman flock after these men who they know are married.
@theStepFamm3 жыл бұрын
they have visual evidence of what it would be like with them, and they can crop out the woman and put their head into the frame in their imagination. with facebook social media etc, they can literally envision what their future could be like if he just chose her instead, and the thought of that challenge excites them. if a woman sees a man raising kids and being "cute" on his social media, her primal instincts kick in and she sees someone who can protect and feed their children too

Because the married ones are most likely the ones with the qualities women are after? That's why these men are married already. Nobody wants to settle down with a non-provider. Both women and men who have lots of partners often seem to think (narcissistically) that their so-called success is defining _them_ instead of being evidence of traumatic attachment patterns between them and their partners. These people are looking for validation and having many narcissistic sources validates their grandiose false self-image, and keeps up their trauma. What we really need is love and connection, which this attachment style does not provide them. Men probably have less biological incentive reproductively to examine their behavior while the wounded women will eventually go after married men because they show the traits women are actually looking for.

Being attractive, and being attractive with ego issues are two separate things. One is dangerous. If you are attractive, stay humble. If you aren’t, lmfao, don’t treat those you find attractive special. Treat them like you would anybody else. You never want to feed ugly egos
@Rjcuatrocinco3 жыл бұрын
This is what I've learned over the years. Especially growing up being called/considered "attractive" by people around me, whatever that means. I hate superficiality now, I hate people who act like they're the shit and above others because they happen to look good. I naturally treated people the same before, but I make it a point and really focus on treating everyone the same now, we're all on this fuckin planet and all gonna die. It sounds cliché, but what's inside is most important. Good people are hard to come by.

...This is worth sitting down and thinking about...What is the advantage to selecting "one" ??...The advantages are many, but what if the girl doesn't "select one", but has in her heart to have a fling of 1- 2 years and then go back to playing the field ??...That is an American problem...Promiscuity would then be the "defense"
@stealz50004 жыл бұрын
Then you move on and pick the next one. Hopefully you learnt something on that first relationship and it leaves you with a bittersweet aftertaste and not just bitterness. A relationship ending doesn't devalue everything that's happened during its course. Plus if you really have women throwing themselves at you it won't destroy your self esteem. It's still going to hurt, which it should if it was a relationship worth having. But life goes on. If you hide under a rock in fear of getting hurt, taken advantage of your life is not going very far.

A funny thing is that i do not consider myself that goodlooking, not that i'm ugly(i guess), but when it comes to getting with women, i learned that the way you handle and present yourself, your confidence and the way you talk is much more important than actual looks. I got with women way out of my league with better looking male competition surrounding me, simply by looking at them a certain way and saying the right words at the right time. Especially saying the right words at the right time is something you can practice easily. You don't need to look like Brad Pitt(or whatever male figure that women find attractive these days) to bring home that woman of your dreams. Just make sure you come across confident and tell her the truth about the way you think she looks (don't overdo it, you'll look cheesy).
