Pearls are precious. Thoughts can also be precious. Pearls mean nothing to swine. Your words, no matter how important or true should not be wasted on swine that will ignore, dismiss, or reject your effort to communicate.

I learned a very difficult lesson to not cast my pearls. It took many years of depression and continuing to try with family to receive respect and love from them. Having given up a role of oppression and service to them with little love in return, I and my daughters are living a much more fulfilling life. Please be encouraged to continuing to love those who treat you with distain, but do not hurt yourself in the process.

As a Minister, this is exactly correct. Jesus says in Luke 10 Go as lambs among wolves and bless them with shalom. If they accept, go be with them. If they do not accept your peace, move on. It is the same principle. Good psychology is good Bible interpretation. His position is NOT mainline psychology.

Quotes are stupid because they're shallow. It is a mistake to live your life by guidance of quotes, their superficial wiseness steals your ability to understand things on a deeper level and forming your own unique solutions to your own unique problems. Sometimes its wise to allow yourself to continue being naive and learn exactly how cruel the wolves can be, the very limit. Moreover quotes helps us live life safely and so they're like Buddha's king father trying to shield us from malevolence and evil and so often these seemingly good intentions harms us way more than the "wolves" ever will.

Actually the phrase pearls before swine is basically gray rocking. The original proverb meant that there’s no point in teaching someone scripture if they don’t value what you want to tell them ie your pearls. The idea is that you don’t give something valuable to someone that won’t appreciate it. I get where he’s coming from and it’s an interesting point of view. But that’s not what the proverb originally meant. It’s not that it’s saying you don’t want to help or you should abandon someone. It’s about not sacrificing your happiness and self value for someone that would step all over it and devalue you. Not sharing the most beautiful parts of yourself to someone that won’t treasure it I get where he’s coming from but swine is typically something that you’d call someone who’s unpleasant or greedy. Not someone who’s lost. A sheep or something would make more sense for lost. Not a swine

The common factors in my life I found heal go where it needs it has a will of its own. Useally it not because people like my style it's because they in pain and they try other methods frist.
