We have been calling individuals "they " or "them" for centuries, just not in the way that we are now being forced to do. It is not uncommon, and I _guarantee_ that you have done this yourself to respond to a query such as "There is someone here to see you, but they don't have an appointment" with "Ask them if they can come back later". I am also willing to bet that you NEVER said "Is it a man or a woman?" so that you could respond with "OK ask him/her is he/she can come back later", so no, it is not "incorrect" to refer to someone as they/them. What IS incorrect (and by that I mean absolutely WRONG) is for you to become a target if you do not do so.

This has also occurred to me. I am perfectly happy to be courteous and address somebody in accordance with their wishes. But here I would need to talk to a third party about the person in their hearshot for that problem to even arise. But in those circumstances I would probably use the person‘s name, if I knew it. I have worked as a psychologist for over 20 years and have worked with MANY transmen and transwomen. It is a real condition. In fact, intersex, and having a fluid sense of your gender are not fake. For what its worth, I am a gun owning, motorcycle riding, bearded cisgender, heterosexual, non-white, MENA man who monogamous and married. And, I certainly am not "woke" but culturally aware and decolonialism is stupid dumb shit. And, transgender is due to a error in the hormones which bathe the developing fetus in utero. It is real

The crown corporation was in charge of the curriculum in the public schools i was forced to attend, the crown corporation taught me grammar Laws, now they created Laws in complete contradiction to what they themselves drilled into my head as i grew, I am incapable of catering to what they themselves drilled into my heads as nonsense!!! In english classes had i EVER referred to a singular with a plural, i would have received a failed grade. The crown corporation has not taught me a new english, nor have they offered me classes to comprehend this new english, i cannot comply as i do not comprehend this new english, how can the crown corporation criminalize what the have taught me is fact?

My son worked in the tech department of a big university (in the U.S.) that issued a mandate for professors, staff and students to use whatever pronouns an individual chooses. A new hire informed my son about her so-called pronouns. He told her straight out, "I'm not going to remember any of that." He had far bigger issues in his position of responsibility than kowtowing to some brainwashed undergraduate's concept of social justice. Fortunately she didn't raise a fuss with the administration. It wasn't long afterward that, fed up with the woke mentality as well as the effect it had on the efficiency of how the department was functioning, my son quit to build up his own business.

The implementation of Ms. is completely different that the pronoun issue. When women chose to use Ms. Instead of Miss or Mrs., it was because they wanted their privacy as to their marital status. People who demand the use of opposite or completely fabricated pronouns are demanding that the world go along with an objective lie and demeaning and dangerous redefinition of fundamental language. Humans cannot change sex. Men are NEVER women and vice versa. To ever refer to a male as “she/her” is disrespectful to all women and it makes the person capitulating to using the wrong pronoun become a submissive to the person who either mentally disordered or a predator.
