I remember this Formula 1 race that had a horrible accident, one of the contestant's breaks didn't work and the car ended up flipping and rolling off the track. Another contestant that was in the top 5 stopped his car and went to help this guy even tho that would mean a sure race loss. I remember this selfless act even today. I can't explain why, but sometimes in life, there is this feeling that overcomes us to "do the right thing".

I started racing in 3rd grade. My first race, I won 1st place. And I always win races. And when I lose, I was a sore loser. I wouldn't accept defeat that lightly, because I was so used to winning. Even at 2nd place, I consider that losing already. And when I acted up, my dad got upset, because he said that's not how I should act, and I should have more fun than actually winning. He never explained why. And I've always thought I was having fun because I was winning. I just followed him and when I lost, I tried to act it was okay. And from then on, I wasn't a loser who acted up when I don't get first place. Honestly... whether it's a subtle thing that I carried over to my young adult life, I can't ignore the fact that it probably impacted me more than I thought it did. I am honestly a person I would want to meet in my lifetime at this point. I am a conscious person, I go to the gym, I'm very social in any social setting than before because I'm an introvert. And it's all because I just want thing to be a little bit more fun than when I wasn't present at a place. Let's get better everyday kings and queens 💪

In my opinion, what people like the previous you need is a complete and utter loss. One that makes you nearly despair. Sounds harsh but the reality of things is that most people when they lose will keep making excuses like "Oh i wasn't feeling good today" or "I wasn't serious!". Hell, they'll even say you aren't even good and they're better. Seriously it makes me want to vomit whenever i encounter those people. They don't want all their effort to be all wasted so they make excuses and think not giving up is the answer. They need a reality check. This quote here sums up why i think like this Quote by Ego Jinpachi from Blue Lock "Defeat is a natural phenomon that must exist in the world of competition. Even for the world's best it is impossible to win everytime. What matters is what you take the from defeat. A loser is denied on the field they play on. Don't let the pursuing of success do that*. Because,if you are obsessed with it,you probably won't see the bigger picture. What is important is what you become. And of course that is not necessarily excluding the specific game you are playing. If you are getting better and there are clear chances of promotion,its a good game. The lose of a match won't affect that. And this still applies to high leagues. It's useless to act egoistically. Long term attitude.

actually everything you do is interconnected to your inner being and feelings. when i was a kid i played the electric guitar and, not so well initially :) after my first love adventure.... i started playing guitar waaaaay better. i remember i was watching my fingers touch the chords and there was something different about it.... I was more gentle, receptive and engaged..... fingers would dance on the chords.... i wondered how ? the sounds i was able to pull off, were one order of magnitude better..... Well.... my new guitar-touching, was actually derived from the way I learned to touch my first lover gf :) What you said above, triggered in me to remember that... i was approching the guitar-play, the same way I was approaching the playing with my girl :) Since then, I realised I can put this type of love in my work, in cooking, writing, listening, talking, hugging, walking, dressing, cleaning, making love..... Well, thats life in a nutshell. Because of my first lover, I learned to love myself and love my life a little bit more. Her love has touched my way of approaching life forever :) behind every good impression that I was able to leave, in life, there is a successfull story of love that thought me so :) I am fortunate enough to say that I had experienced true love, often and none of my past relationships i closed, ended up in bad breakups. I am one of the few guys, that is still a friend with ALL the ladies from the past. How i got here ? It all goes back to my first love. She thought me how and why to live life :)

Dad actually taught me that losing has way more value than our society gives it credit for. Winners get the trophy, short term success to put something on a shelf that says we were really good. Losers though get a test, a divine test to grow themselves offered only to them. Growing up I always thought it was weird he wasn’t making it about my skill, but my attitude was always the thing he was trying to teach me on. Thank God for that. He taught me how to find silver linings, how to look at a loss and see it as a way to seek areas of improvement, a great extension of that lesson was how to ask the best kid on the field for help, and in a catastrophic defeat, be the kid least phased personally with the most positive outlook, a great extension of that lesson was to learn to smile and enjoy myself in tough scenarios. I’d practice basketball, but I never realized he was teaching me how to handle the storms of life. Thanks so much dad.

One of the sacrifices one have to make in order to be the absolute best at anything is your control of emotion when things doesn't go as planned. Why is that? Well, in order to surpass everyone around you, one need a drive and discipline that is beyond normal standard to become the absolute best. One also need to be more competitive and more ruthless than the competition and team mates. This means that your will to Win is so strong that when you fail at the finish line your reaction will inevitably break your mental and composure to some degree, making you burst out things you would normally not do. If the goal is to only do your best, then one will Never be the best. In order to reach excellence one must strive for perfection. If you only strive for greatness you will only reach decent to good to average. Reaching for the impossible is what makes people able to attain legendary status in any given domain.

Your goal is not to win a competition with the opponent on the field; your goal is winning against the depravity inside seeking to produce a lesser version of yourself. Winning is to cultivate the character of your inner soul to always present the best version of yourself in all things..not just sports. The reason I chose the word best and not perfect is because "best" implies growth whereas perfect suggests being God which none of us can be. It's also important that you do not measure your best up against another's best which always leads to personal shame in the end. There is ALWAYS someone smarter, faster, and more talented ALWAYS. And If you don't believe that last point than you have no concept of humility in your worldview. Because, though you might be the best in the world at one thing means absolutley zero in the scope of a successful life, character, and love. I could have the highest IQ on the planet, but also be a menance to society. This is not success. Comparing yourself with others rather than following your inner compass of growth will also make you quit things all the time. The mature person can lose battles but not quit overall. The immature who measures theirself by what he/she observes in everyone else will feel powerful when they outclass someone who is inferior to them, but likewise be driven to quit when that person comes along who outshines them.

I play netball, over 50's at City level. I play to win for the team. I'm goal attack and shooting is my strength. However, I will readily pass the ball to goal shooter if they're in a better position, if they haven't shot for a while, if it distracts the opposite team. I love everyone on my team and treat the opposition with competitive love. Sometimes I find it hard when others are purely self driven but that's where personal character training comes in. The development of character as a practice in ethics is desperately undervalued by our society (I hail from the UK). Imagine if more kids understood that their personal destiny would be enhanced not on their attainment of a sports scholarship, for example, but on the development of their moral character. Good begets good, in a life well lived. And by the way that isn't to say we shouldn't be ambitious, but if our goals are attainable and with social value then all the better.
