Pursuit of Meaning

In this video, Dr. Jordan Peterson is unraveling Easter's true message.
Excerpt: "Christ is symbolically the way and the truth of life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Embracing the process of voluntary death and rebirth that is identical with psychological development, means determining to move forward and upward despite the horrors of life."

That is not the gospel message at all. Christ accepted death on the cross for the atonement of humanities failures and sins against God. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus because in Jesus we find the Way to Life, which is the Truth. This is the gospel message of Christ that it was him that took on the sins of the world upon Himself so we can be forgiven. It is not human thought that is at teh center of the universe, but it is the infinite goodness of God that sustains all of reality within Him.

The Truth is a fact. The truth is anything that can be proven to be correct. Unfortunately, society has claimed the 'truth' to be subjective in nature due to a modern sense of philosophy and then psychology. Objectively, the Truth cannot change or it was never the Truth.

This is very dangerous. I respect Dr Peterson and love to hear his philosophies of the modern world and how it is going wrong. However, his takes on Biblical issues are bone chilling in the fact that when you sprinkle just enough truth onto a false idea it becomes very believable and misleading. The Bible warns of this as false prophets in the end time. There has to be some truth in their message or the deviation becomes too obvious. I hope this is a progression of Dr Peterson eventually excepting the Biblical truth and not a slight fork in the road that may mislead people who are trying to walk the narrow path of Christianity.

My dad used to tell me "Suffering builds character." I found this video, today, on about the lowest day of my life. After a successful career of almost 40 years, i'm broke, mostly alone, my business is closed, in debt, my car repossessed, and about to lose the house i'm renting. And today, there were three earthquakes in my area. But don't feel bad for me. I have hope in God, and I'm looking forward to what comes next. I'm still alive.

In admiration, I have been watching your slow progression towards Christianity. It's an inevitable conclusion to move towards the Light of God's Logos when fighting in the dark as you have for so many years. You are fighting for what's right is really appreciated, and so many look to you. As you progress, be mindful of the mark in which you are pointing everyone towards. Be that beacon as He calls you too. Seek harder than you have ever sought before for the only truth. The truth is only found in the Bible. More importantly, the truth and healing is found in the actual individual relationship with Christ Jesus. It's not just a great story, idea, or debate. Those who cry out to God... will hear Him. Those that take hold of their lives in sincere humility to the only God of creation will, in fact, find Christ. Blessings to you and your family. May your mind, heart, and tongue speak with a clarity that all can hear. Peace.

Careful my friend. JP’s journey, an agnostic to Christian (if we can describe it that way), should be considered more of a carefully worded warning than an inspiration. The warning? Be careful Christian, you and I may be more agnostic than we care to admit or realize. After all, He calls us to be perfect, and the journey (the assimilation ;-) is painful.

What a load of rubbish: If you want to know the truth, it's on your heart.. same place that right from wrong, compassion and empathy are kept.. a whole lot of wonderful things are there AND ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS CARE, it's definitely Christ like behaviour. Want to be a good person, find happiness, live a fulfilling life, care about others, live without stress, smile in the face of adversity even, well listen to your heart... IT IMMEDIATELY will tell you the right course of action. See someone fallen in the street, why do you pick them up? Because it's the Christian thing or because it's right? Follow those like Peterson if you like.. he's a thinking man who tries to justify a book that justifies murder, tells our children that must not be homosexual because of love and sin, justifies slavery and it has a flat earth and so on... the book of God, a flat earth???

@@bottomline7923 Not one thing you said will get a soul into heaven, although a few things said, can give someone a fair, even a life well lived on earth. JP hasn't justified one fragment of the bible, even though people seem to think he has. Like you, he has a mixture of a spec of truth mixed with fable, pagan mysticism, psychology, atheism, Darwin's unfinished work (origin of life), and many mistaken ideas of scripture, as yourself, no sarcasm intended. Scripture must be drawn from, not read into. BTW, I certainly admire his amazing gift of earthly wisdom and caring personality. His verbiage at times certainly puts my Webster's to work, though.

@@beaudidly5347 first off can I say, any soul sportin the name Beau Didly is up there in my books. I offered up a recipe for life that's all.. a way to heaven??? I've sowed my oats and heaven is not an option for me. Turn to the Lord and seek forgiveness I hear you say.. I've done things that no man deserves forgiveness for, and that's only the truth. I knew the consequences and I know what I've done. So, im estranged from son who I understand to be gay.. as a homophobic man I saw it in him at age 7.. how did I know? Well I saw him moving, dancing that's all.. it was one of the most confronting day of my life and I've already said, heaven is not my option, I've had confronting days.. My son going to heaven, he's a Catholic? Just so happens were both headed south. Ha, fancy that, maybe he does love me. I had a fortunate Christian upbringing and believed early on that heaven was my reward for being good, eternal life living close to God.. sorry! Least I'll see my son one day? Look I don't mean to be so cynical, I love people with faith who are true. But Friend and I loath the word BUT, But Friend, when I look to all the Catholics and Christians that i know, not one is actually Christ like or true to their faith. It might be their judgement of others, selected forms of empathy, lying, stupid stuff that I as an atheist strive to eradicate from everything I am. I'll say it because I'm proud of where I've come from, I'd pit myself against and Christian in a morals, ethics and perspective competition. I've live years in prison and fed paedophiles every f@#kin day of my life excuse me, that was for gravity only, and each one has has an untampered feed. Why did I do that job, feeding the absolute lowest forms of life your God mostly, sorry again same reason, has to offer? Because I was acutely aware than in a house of 1000 violent criminals, id at least strive to make sure none of them was passing on their own judgement. Bottom line for me was prison was punishment absolute, I was not aware of circumstances, guilt or otherwise of other criminals only mine. Let me tell you though, on any one given day, I would have gladly jumped the counter to savage any one of those maggots. Just for the little children. Want to prove Karma exists? Show me one paedophile who got what he deserved! I wanted to address more of what you said but I'm a bit of a wind pipe. Might be too late perhaps, I wanted to address how it trickled into your comment I think now.. mischievous words, words that say two things, sentences that don't exactly say what they mean simple lies.. JP's understanding of language is his talent, sadly he misleads societies now.. instead of worrying about his ability to get you looking words up, start listening to the truth of meaning in them.. I used to be like you praising him every day.. WoW I used to write. Then I saw one simple thing from a guy I can't stand.. hevjust pointed out two simple lies of his.. oh, and the one when he saw he don't lie.. then I listened to everything.

When I was a kid, the nuns used to always say “offer it up.” Of course they were relentlessly mocked for saying it. I believe it was how they learned to condition themselves, as lovers of Christ, to always offer our sufferings to Him and continually make small sacrifices to become more like Him. By doing this from childhood, we’re more likely to become self disciplined and detached from worldly pleasures… the lack of which makes us weak, self indulgent and just fodder for the enemies of Christ. Thank you for sharing your thoughts this Easter season. Viva Christo Rey!

Well said. No suffering United to Christ’s on the cross offered for souls will be wasted. Suffering is the biggest grace we can endure for Christ and souls He loves and died for. Angels cannot do two things that they want to do: 1) suffer for Christ and 2) take holy communion.

@ANGIE B truth, what is this then 2 Cor 3:16 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. And again Eph. 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Does a seed grow up into a tree at once? It takes time. 1 Cor 3:6-7 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Our journey to Christ is yes being born again, but we must continue to walk Lk. 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. The walk of Christ is a daily thing. We must die to ourselves daily and crucify the flesh daily being more and more like him. Let us not come down on any man or woman for not being perfect today. For the same Holy Spirit that is working in you is working in others, and thank God for that. Praise God for you, and for all his people. Let us love all people. And build them up. In Christ Jesus, and by the Holy Spirit, we can be made fully human. His faithfulness was not to prepare us for heaven or to make us more heavenly, but to make us more and more human, so that our humanity can relate to the humanity of others...bringing heaven to earth. As the atonement sacrifice, He became the mercyseat (Rom 3:25 YLT)...the place cleansed from the pollution of our sin (Lev 16:16, 20), where God meets with His people (Exo 25:22). Jesus became the place of mercy where we can commune with God, and God with us. Indeed, nobody comes to the Father but by the Son. Peace!

Jordan does not have the faintest idea about the meaning of the Atonement and Resurrection. Jordan is a secular humanists that NOW pretends he is "Christian"... without having a Christian Gospel to preach. He knows so little of Christian theology he is ignorant of the synergistic and monergistic Gospels and has no idea WHY only one can be true - and it's not the Universal Atonement he imagines. He seeks to explain the "re-birth" of Easter without understanding the "born again" experience required for Easter (the Resurrection) to have any relevance. He is an intelligent Secular Humanist - but a painfully naive theologian. And certainly NOT Christian... as his "fruit" demonstrates.

We symbolically partake of the Lords body during communion. Christs death on the cross for the remission of our sins is not symbolic, and if you think it is, what is it symbolic of? The passover was symbolic of the cross. We are sinners in need of a savior. Faith in Jesus gets you into the kingdom, nothing symbolic can get you in.

Regardless of one’s actual belief or non belief in the tenets of Christianity, it has stood the test of time partly because it is psychologically true and Dr. Peterson has beautifully unveiled these truths. As presented by Dr. Peterson, Christianity “makes sense” and is reasonable and for many this is the doorway to faith. For me, JP beautifully connects faith and reason as the 2 sides of the same coin in one’s spiritual journey.

A leader you say? While Trump's people blocked Canada's essential suppy roots, peterson was calling his Nation's leader a traitor for implementing laws that facilitated an end.. A leader who said in one paragraph that America, needs to stop this Jan 6 investigation, return to life like it is in Florida and stop mask mandates all in one breath? A leader you say? I used to idolize this prick till someone pointed public statements, he will never lie.. well then I heard him lie.. so I started listening... he's a sell out mutt, a liar... now only a voice for hire.. hey don't listen to me even now, check his words out.

Few understand the fear of God as Jordon seems to. I heard him say once something like, who has the nerve (audacity) to be a christian or say you are. Yes, it’s deep and yes It’s so beautiful. That struck me to the core. My thought was you’re there Jordon, now proceed. Simply beautiful as Scripture says: The fear of the Lord is the #beginning of wisdom. From atheist to believer, Jordon is right on track! I’m guessing many Christians gasped at such a thought as he openly shared that comment, “oh come on Jordon” not getting what he’s saying….showing such reverence to God and the Word. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Thank you, Jordan that was beautiful. Jesus Christ was crucified for speaking the truth. He was beaten and betrayed by his own people for loving them unconditionally, teaching and preaching God’s word. He asked for water and they gave him vinegar. Yet, he willingly carried the burden of his cross. He was obedient to His Father’s master plan. Yeshua Hamashiach felt forsaken and betrayed but His faith in Father God overcame the evil of men as He arose from his tomb. He is our greatest example of how we can overcome evil and rise above the fray. As Christians, we too carry our daily cross. Jesus said, “It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” - John 19:29-30 ✝️🙏🏻🕊❤️🦋

@@wisevirgin3405 Only Father God knows who is truly a Christian. If Jordan says he loves and believes in Almighty God, His Word and His son Jesus Christ, by what authority does anyone have to question his personal relationship with God? Who will throw the first stone? I know people that claim to love the Lord and proclaim to be true Christians and actually know scripture but express pure hate, arrogance, prejudices, judgement and hypocrisy. So, who is the true Christian? Jordan loves Jesus Christ, he has taken the time to read God’s word and share with others his understanding of scripture. Everyone is responsible to read God’s word and ask Almighty Father God for understanding. People are constantly trying to bring down this man. All I see in Jordan is genuine love for mankind. He tries to help others and that is a good thing. We are so quick to judge instead of being appreciative to our fellowman. I probably disagree with Jordan on two issues but his heart overflows with love, caring, compassion, understanding, kindness, consideration, honesty and openness and authenticity. That’s what I love about him. I could care less if he was popular or not! Listen to him and look at his eyes and you can see what’s in his heart. Open the eyes of your heart. That’s how Jesus wants us to see others especially those that are trying to make life better by sharing their friendship and knowledge. We are all sinners, forgiven by unmerited grace. ✝️🙏🏻🕊

As I see Jordan get teary more often I can’t help but think that it’s a result of God working in his heart, which witnessing the surrender, softens my heart and brings me happiness and peace. That the Eucharist is our central symbol for joining into His death and rebirth. Praise God. @@wisevirgin3405 He did say in the video this was a psychological assessment of the situation. He didn't say whether Jesus actually lived or not, because he wasn't giving a religious talk here. It was just a psychological essay. Of course the question remains.... SHOULD such a psychological essay such as this be the way a Believer of Christ perform? I've seen him struggle in other videos to accept Jesus as REAL, even as he can't make a counter-argument against his existence. The evidence he presents is that the narrative and reality touch so much, that it seems more probable that Jesus is real, but he doesn't know what that would mean or do to him, or even how the whole idea actually works.

@@CelticSpiritsCoven ... You are correct that Jordan can ONLY offer a "psychological assessment" because he does not have an indwelling Holy Spirit - which is the essence of being regenerated. Everyone else (in all other religions) essentially does the same. @Angie B I have read through the King James Bible a couple times so no, I am not deceived much. Do you do what the Lord says or do you sit on the fence and pick on others? What about the least of these the Lord's brethren do you care for the poor, visit those in prison, etc? That is zeroing in more on your own personal role as a Christian because that is the way the Lord will judge the heathen that survive the great tribulation when He returns. Now if a heathen is better than you, you might be in trouble yourself. He doesn't sound like the typical liberal psychiatrist that's for sure. Maybe you are right but he is saying good things about the Lord and the Gospel and is unlike the majority of the frothing at the mouth liberals on the rest of You Tube. His repentance is not necessarily a public thing that's between him and the Lord. To be honest I haven't listened to him much Jordan is a bit long winded and I am more interested in God's actual word so I have not checked for those things I was just encouraging him. I will let the Lord do the judging I in no way want that job. If he says he is a Christian brother we have to give him the benefit of the doubt I think.

As a Catholic, I have to say that Eucharist is NOT only symbolic. It is also that but it IS Christ. Another word we use for the Eucharist is Communion, as you are communing with/channeling Christ. JP does a wonderful job of teaching us about how Truth isn't only that which can be empirically verified, that Truth exists in other forms or substance. Transubstantiation, the changing of the bread and wine into Christ Himself, is that process in which the empirically verified truth transcends those boundaries. I'm not at all perfect and neither are you, so I ask forgiveness and I beg the lord to be kind to me as I struggle to get the truth through all is protected layers.... you also I'm sure you pray. I pray.... okay here is the verse. I'll give 2. Please look it up also. Paul said, "for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance". I can explain that but I can't make people understand it and I can not understand it for them. Next verse.... Paul said, "to whom he will, he will have mercy. And to whom he will, he hardeneth". I can also explain that verse. Jordan may not get it. Jordan might get it. But all I ask is that you do as I do. Pray for him... we have no idea what he accepts or rejects .... the one thing he says that I do respect much is when he says that he lives his life as though God exists, and he tip toes around the truth in fear of it so that ue does not offend the truth.... he might not get it all right and I do certainly disagree with Jordan on some things... but he is coming around and the lord provides to all the same..... he has made a huge impact on a lot of people that woukd not have considered God otherwise.... so I'm thankful... as I am a believer of God and follower of CHRIST, we need all the help we can get at this point... we will not last much longer here and we are struggling to help as many understand so they can be saved by CHRIST. If Jesus said it woukd be no different than in the days of Noah, when he returns that is, then how do you feel about the world now if christ is at the door??? The Bible says that God looked down and did not find one that did good or seemed after God and Noah was chosen... that did not mean that Noah was doing good or seeking after God... God said that he found NONE, NO NOT ONE THAT DID GOOD.... yes that included noah also.... but he found grace.... the book of James says, the judgement seat of CHRIST will he without mercy to those that have shown no mercy.... so have mercy and pray my friend.... pray....

Sir, I appreciate your brilliant mind so much. I enjoy your podcast and love your videos. The Scripture says that not many wise, not many noble are called. We are told to have the simple faith of a child. I fear that your intellect may be clouding your understanding of the simplicity of the Gospel and the reality of the eternal realm that we are to strive for. I see in Scripture the teaching of the spiritual realm being so much more substantial than the physical (see Hebrews 12:18-29) I know that you know the Scripture well. I believe that your moralistic approach is good, but is only focused on this brief, thin life and does not envelope the next. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthiams 15:19 that if in this life only we have hope, we are of all men most to be pitied. The Scripture also says that there is a "hereafter" and that our hope will not be cutoff. Please seek the Spiritual, the Eternal where God dwells.

History will draw ti him when it records how mass distrust in government was injected into societies at a time when people most needed society. Most of us live in democratic countries and we vote for government to see us through thick and thin. History will focus on Jordan, the world's leading clinical psychologist of the time, picked up Trumps propaganda machine and weaponised to the extent that he was calling his own leader a traitor.. Are you immensely impacted by the resurrection of the Christ, I am in the sense that I doubt my belief in it, but then I am not much of a Christian by any stretch. But what really impacts me immensely is the fact that when we look up into the Heavens and ascribe its creation to the Great Creator, we overlook the fact that for God to have Created the universe with four words seems to make the Resurrection just another of His powers, and one He had as much control of as His having had created the Universe with four one syllable words. That impacts me immensely, that i the fact that most people swallow that camel of God having created existence and choke on the gnat that was His resurrection.

Thank you Dr Peterson, your insight and wisdom is astounding. You illuminate so well the paradoxical truth spoken by Jesus that you must loose your life if you want to save it -- we are to take up our cross, crucifying our broken ways of being and follow him. The cosmic significance of Easter is this: Jesus, the Son of Man, willing bore the full brunt of mankind's rejection, malevolence, and failure, taking all that within Himself to be crucified, destroyed, and to the grave once for all. And from those ashes, humanity is able to be rebooted and reborn. Jesus' resurrection opens the door so that others can brought back to Life through the power of God's Spirit. Jesus is the "new Adam". Those who "die" and unite themselves to Him become his offspring and will live as He lives. As the Bible says, "I will put My Spirit in you and you will come to life" (Ez 37:14); Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God (Rm 8:14); "you have become partakers of the Divine nature" (1 Pt 1:4). We can't pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps, our nature must be regenerated through the Spirit of the Living God.

Very well said..yes Jesus is the first born of a whole new race, the progenitor of a whole new race..the Heavenly Adam of whom the first Adam was a type...The false gospel that has infiltrated the contemporary christian culture has no power, people think they can make the flesh (the old Adamic nature) righteous ... thinking that the Holy Spirit is convicting them of sin all the time.. like an undertaker they try to make the old dead corpse look alive...applying a little rouge, combing the hair..being ignorant of the righteousness of God they seek to establish their own and miss entirely the substitutionary atonement, God's unfathomable Grace in that atonement...and the power of an incoruprable life, of Christ's life and nature that alone can produce the fruits of the Spirit acceptable to God, the fruits of Christ's own character and His attributes manifested in and through us! we cannot live the Christian life, Christ alone can... do we belive Galatians 2:20 ? " I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live , but Christ lives in me ; and the life that (i) now live in the flesh i live by the faith of the son of God, who Loved me and delivered HImself up for me" and Collosians 3:3 "for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God" do we believe ?

I love how Peterson looks at Christ symbolically, especially when considering other religious teachings. By viewing Christ’s sacrifice as something to emulate, (not seen as a ticket to heaven for everyone who believes in Him) has really opened up so many deeper levels of meaning and understanding when I study Christian scriptures. There are keys to properly understand the Word of God. One of them is this Verse: 1 Cor 2:14. Those who try other ways will ultimately fail, develop new ideologies, but not really find the truth. The truth of Easter is so simple that a little child can understand it. Jesus died for our guilt. Anyone who accepts this sacrifice by confessing their sins before God and really repents of them will receive eternal life in the here and now (Joh 5,24). This new beginning is like the resurrection. Repenting and confessing is like the death of Christ, as Paul also writes to the Galatians: I am crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me; but what I now live in the flesh I live by faith. And to help such a person to live here in God´s mind, he gives his Holy Spirit. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work such people. That is the meaning of the death and resurrection of Christ in the Bible. Lk 10,21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. Mr. Peterson, I like your searching for the truth. But sometimes I wished for more simplicity and I would like to talk to you about it.

If he would "die" to his intellectual prowess, which prevents him from believing that God's plain words mean exactly what they say, he might really find God and eternal life. The Christian command is not to act out the proposition that courage, truth, and love are more powerful than death and despair and to accept what transpires as a consequence. That is not Easter. That is not the resurrection of Christ. It is not a work, it is a matter of faith. Christ is not a symbol of the way, the truth and the life, He IS the way, the truth, and the life. For all of Jordan's big words and intellectual explanations of what he thinks a type of salvation is, he is missing the boat entirely. Letting the wrong within us die and embrace a "new" spirit where one strives to be better won't get anyone a single thing. He is right that we all sin. God said, "There is none righteous, no not one." But we have to do more than die to self by self-sacrifice out of our own conscience. We must die to ego, and humble ourselves, realizing that nothing we do, no amount of good works, no amount of striving will ever be seen as anything but a filthy rag by God. God Himself has said that in His Word. When Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life," He was being quite literal, not metaphorical. Jesus died and took our sins upon Himself, as it was the only way to redeem us. Read Isaiah 53. Our only way of achieving what Jordan strives so hard for is to die to ego and submit to Christ. Thinking that somehow if we only strive hard enough, we can be righteous in God's eyes is a delusion. No, we can't. But if we humble ourselves as a little child " And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." and have the kind of pure faith, the kind little children have, believing in Christ and His sacrifice for us, we can find salvation. It is a matter of faith. God equates faith with righteousness. Then and only then will our striving to live a life pleasing to God be achievable and worth something. It will not be easy, and there will be sins, but it is far easier when God is with you, and God continues to be faithful to forgive us our sins, if we confess them. He didn't die to make us perfect, He died to be a substitute for us when judgment is held.He died and rose so that we might have the free gift of salvation. With Christ, you can face the trials, the terrors, and all the things that life can throw at you with a peace and a hope of an eternal life that will be wonderful beyond what our imaginations can possibly conceive. When Jordan realizes this and dies to ego, thinking that if he strives hard enough (and I know he does strive) he can achieve some transcendent plane, and realizes that no amount of work on his part will ever be sufficient to make him acceptable to God, and then puts his faith in Christ, he will finally find the peace he so desperately seeks.

YYou are absolutely correct- All of what you say; but the learning process takes time; more time for dialectic thinkers like Dr Peterson who have to survey each question as it arises from multiple different angles and slowly eliminate the options that , over time, prove themselves incorrect.. For most people starting on the road of faith (speaking also for myself) it takes a long time to (spiritually) understand the "foolishness (wisdom) of the cross" . After we understand that we then have to take on the next level of trying to understand the books of Romans and Galatians; that, from the time we first understand how Jesus death and resurrection applies to us a) we are at ALL times free (through Jesus' sacrifice ) to work/ "do stuff" and b) Never at any time working/ "doing stuff" to be free. If we get that , it takes more time "to get" "Jesus IS The Truth" and "God IS Love" - both unfathomably deep Truths ; Truths that can only be properly and continuously revealed over time, by the Holy Spirit, in the heart of someone who believes and adopts an attitude of openness to learn (ie to state the obvious, it is much easier for the Holy Spirit to teach a child correctly from the outset than it is for the Holy Spirit to help a person separate the truths from the lies that have built up over a lifetime). On top of this every believer starts encountering the reality of spiritual battles and a spiritual enemy that wants to expedite the end to their life (but an enemy that's easily trampled on, once we get an understanding of the technical basics)

@@scoro8675 You are so right. It is a learning process, and I see that Jordan has come a long way toward the truth, but I fear that maybe his intellectualism might get in the way of him finally realizing the truth, for as you said, it is hard to teach someone who has spent their life building their beliefs on what is not truth, to accept what the truth is. Ego is a huge obstacle when it comes to truth, for admitting one has been deceived is very hard to accept. And that is true about any truths and anybody. I keep praying God will somehow get through the darkness that is blinding him. I notice that when people do try to talk to him (from interviews I've seen and admittedly they aren't prolific). that people try to get through to him from an intellectual approach. I don't think that will ever work, because it is his intellect he needs to abandon in order to believe by faith. Then the intellect can go full swing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, but until he can let go of thinking it is an intellectual exercise and realize that he has to make that leap by faith, he will be unable to find what he so desperately seems to want to find. He still seems to see Christ as a mythology of truth rather than a literal one. My heart is so burdened for him. I see his suffering. I just want so badly to see him find his peace in Christ. He would be an awesome evangelist for the Lord. Especially when, as you said, the spiritual battle is ongoing for a lifetime. And in these end times, it has escalated due to the time being short.

I appreciate a lot of what Jordan Peterson says. However, the celebration of Easter is not a celebration of symbolism, but the remembrance of a historical fact. Christ is not symbolically the way, the truth, and the life, but ACTUALLY the Way, the Truth, and the Life. His death was necessary because death is the wages of sin and all men have sinned. Christ died for the sins of the world and experienced the just wrath and judgment of God in our place. He rose from the dead because he was innocent of any sin. There is a legal transaction that takes place when we place our faith in Christ. His death is accepted as payment for my sin, and His righteousness is bestowed on me, giving me forgiveness and acceptance in the sight of God. Easter is a celebration of the fact of the resurrection of Christ, because without a bodily resurrection and a living Saviour, there is no reason to be a Christian. In the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 15, Christians would be "of all men most miserable." Read 1 Corinthians 15 for the real reason to celebrate Easter.

Wow....wow wow wow. Finally someone who gets it...thank God! Delving and digging-in deep to Christ's word...to the spirit of the word... I will re-watch/re-listen to this video I hope many times and pass it on to others. Thank you God for giving Jordon the words and spirit for my spirit to hear Amen! IMO not too many people will see/hear the depth Jordon is talking about and go back to leaning on what the world has been teaching them. I pray everyone understands these words and figures it out! We need more people like this! I've been so lonely for more people like this!

I'm astonished while listening to JP. My feeble attempt to fully comprehend what he's saying, reminds me that I must share the IQ with that of a small soap dish. Here's my rendition... The resurrection is by far the most significant event in all of human history. There would be no Bible without it. There were no Christians when Jesus uttered the words, "It Is Finished." "HE" rose... and gave "US" life. Thank you Father, for sending your Son. I'm humbled and undeserving. 🙏❤
