As a consumer, there is nothing like walking into a salon or spa that has a variety of brands on their shelves. My hair stylist does this, and it gives me so much confidence that she is using and recommending what she actually believes will give me the best results rather than recommending based on brand loyalty.

I always enjoy our little chats. Hated pink for the longest time and just went crazy last year. I must of purchased 6 pink collared shirts last summer. Lol why don’t you buy a ring light for your skin talks? It’s totally worth it, the skin is more visible so people can see you are walking the walk. Much love Jordan. Looking forward to a refreshing spring as well.

Jesse Meyer I actually hate the lights because it blurs imperfections and doesn’t give the true look of the skin. Also I wouldn’t have something to be bothered by if I had a proper light ;) xoxox

So many laughs in this video! Also such good advice. I have been following your philosophy for a while now and my skin has never been happier, less irritated, less red, less blemished. I always have your voice in my head when I'm buying and using skincare! Things like don't freak out over one pimple, and skincare is more than just products (it's also diet, sleep, stress, etc), don't change up everything at once, not all products will work for you. Thank you Jordan!

Timely advice Jordan, I've been binge watching your channel and also Nerida Joy trying to establish the best routine for me. At 60 you'd think I'd be smart enough not to buy into the latest trends in skincare, the problem is at 60 we're looking for the next big thing to make us look our best. If only I could find an aesthetician in Melbourne, Australia with your expertise and philosophy🍸After years of jumping on the bandwagon of every new product range and having recently followed the Korean 10 step routine I've decided less is probably more and am simplifying to cleanse, hydrate, acid, retinol. I recently made a purchase from your range and am looking forward to its arrival. About to trawl through your videos for an acid recommendation.

Salud 🍷I have learned over time to try few new things at the same time and to assess what my skin needs. My daily routine is to do what feels good or my skin needs it. My skin changes all the time and I adapt to it. I agree that fragrance is not needed but I can think of one product that worked fabulously but I could not stand the smell. Fragrance would have been good. 😎 Thank you for a great video 🍸

Another great fun video. About to replenish my JSS stash. I have been using etoile for oh 9 months now and my skin is very happy. IF I wanted to try a retinol that was a bit stronger to see if I don't know my maturing skin could look even better what would you suggest ? (oyy that was even an edited sentence lol) Etoile is such a great beginning product.

This is going to make you cringe and sad for me, but I've had to stop using the After Show cleanser...I loved it for my skin, but I had so many tiny little pimples all the time that I don't get with my foaming cleanser. Even adding Paula's Choice 2% BHA wasn't clearing up my skin. It's frustrating...hoping to add your retinol back into my routine soon!!
@jordansamuelskin35506 жыл бұрын
Ryan Bruns not everything works for everyone :) HOWEVER there are water soluble non-foaming cleansers available. We have one in the Matinee gel cleanser. Also many others out there. I still would suggest those over a foaming cleanser unless you are a true oily skin with no signs of surface dehydration/dryness. Xo
@ryanbruns5016 жыл бұрын
@@jordansamuelskin3550 I will definitely look into Matinee + Tarte Knockout or Paula's Choice BHA for the salicylic acid (I have oily/acne prone skin, but live in CO so probably have surface dryness too!)

I use foaming cleanser for a different experience once or twice a week. I love alcohol toners🤣and don’t mind fragranced/essential oiled skincare. It’s like eating a piece of cake you take the damage with the great feeling without these “damages” skincare would be completely boring.
@jordansamuelskin35506 жыл бұрын
Terrance Xu this is true. And great analogy. With all the advice the best thing to do especially with skincare is have fun!
@jessemeyer36286 жыл бұрын
I guess it’s okay now cause your young, but your tune will change with hyperpigmentation, sensitivity and contact dermatitis. I don’t avoid fragrances but I don’t really want anything like that in my skincare. The point is to take care of your skin, so I don’t understand why you would intentionally put fragrance in a product. Essential oils cause free radicals and ages the skin regardless if you can see it on the surface or not. They are volatile organic compounds that will steal oxygen from healthy cells. When I think of voc’s I think of interior paint. They are slowly removing the voc’s from all products.. breathing them in is carcinogenic and could you imagine what it would do directly applied to the skin? I’ll catch up with you in a few years to see if your still into fluff skincare or vanity display skincare. Lol

Just to make sure I got this, it took you 15.42 minutes essentially to suggest that we should know our own skin, avoid following trends and do whatever we want..... whilst obsessing over the light on your face!?? I would highly suggest you avoid filming yourself when you're attacking a martini or any alcoholic beverage early afternoon. it does nothing for your credibility and I am none the wiser!! Talk about white noise!!! I want my 15 minutes back!

I know this video is 2 years old, but I came across it as I’m binge watching all of Jordan’s videos. I was shocked and disgusted by the comment you left this great man. Not only is he a fantastic human being, he is a creative skincare genius who willingly shares all his knowledge and creates the best products on the skincare market.I don’t care if he drinks a gallon of martinis. You should be ashamed of yourself for your derogatory comments. Remember, karma is a bitch!
