But we actually know what Guillermo does. The main job of Guillermo now is to participate in the side activities on Kimmel show and the interviews of the award shows Kimmel is in. I would say his responsibility now is 90% on screen. We know nothing about Jordan's responsibilities on the show. Nobody believes Jordan is ONLY works as an actor on all those skits. Pretty sure he does have that producer job on the show, but I HEAVILY doubt Conan's stance of "I don't know what he does and there's no way I can find out". That's bullcrap. I think he's doing that on purpose to keep the nemesis energy going and keep the whole thing alive.

Conan's podcast is awesome. The best bits are the ones where they're not talking to a celebrity, actually. He has a great comedic rapport with his assistant Sona and Matt Gourley. I'd recommend watching more of those clips.

I think Conan is STILL doing it on purpose. Asking Jordan this question and leading him to giving this response is a way to create more (of the same) content. It's the same exact content they had back in the show, doing it again on the new podcast and yet people are watching it again hoping there will be a new perspective but there isn't. A rock solid fact is, Jordan should have a direct superior at the show, and Conan could have had that person(possibly together with Jordan) on and explain once and for all. This could have been done way back, and also now with the podcast now that they no longer have the show. It's a very easy thing to do and they never did it. So in short, all this is intentional, just more of the same. Conan might be afraid that he would break the magic of this long-running skit by actually explaining everything. This is the first time I feel tried of "the Jordan skit". They could make a new bit and it would still be hilarious, but the whole "nobody knows what Jordan did for the show" thing is getting really old now.

For sure. It's definitely part of the bit. The comedy comes from the juxtaposition between the fact that he's an enigma with a peculiar personality whose role on the show is a mystery, while simultaneously being too important to actually let go.
