Explaining the feeling of shrooms is literally impossible, until you try them yourself.
@MaverickBrown-yt4ms

The one time I had a bad trip, ended up being a great learning experience. I took some shrooms, called ALL of my friends. They sounded excited when I told them I was on shrooms. Inevitably they would ask if they came over they could have some. I didn't have any extra, then they would say, "Oh I can't trip sit with you I'm busy". This hit me deep in the feels, causing a bad trip. So I asked myself why I had sooooo many shitty "friends". The answer? "You're a druggy and so are they. You're pretty shitty too. You're a loser. Move away from your toxic home town and stop doing drugs". Felt excited and happy after getting this answer. I moved that same week. Best decision of my life.

What did you go on to do in your life that showed it had radically changed? Did you become more productive? Did you help people more? Did you repair broken relationships that seemed previously too hard to fix? Did you stick at things better than what you have in the past? What ever advantage it brought to you that is demonstrable will be interesting to hear about.

I hate that psilocybin gets grouped with drugs like cocaine and heroin. Mushrooms are a remedy, not a vice! I went on a microdose treatment for a couple of months and within the first week, every sight of a cigarette got me questioning why I was doing all that to myself. It really works.

15g mushroom trip changed my life. I approached the trip with a bit of arrogance as I had tripped many times before. My usual doses were between 7-10 grams. This trip was different. I ate the mushrooms and started getting impatient about 45 minutes in. "Oh just some stupid visuals again?" and as soon as I said that it was like the mushrooms went "oh you're not impressed? watch this" and then I spent the next 4 hours laying in my bed. I couldn't move. I didn't want to. I felt what I can only describe as ultimate love, beauty, joy, acceptance. There was a stream that was flowing through me. This stream, I call it the source of everything, knew everything about me. It knew my flaws and my mistakes. It knew everything I had done wrong in my life and it didn't care. It loved me beyond measure. As someone who has done MDMA a few times, this was nothing like it. It put MDMA to shame. This trip haunts me because it seems impossible. This wasn't normal love. It was love the way it's meant to be. True genuine unconditional love. I never wanted to leave that place. I think about it every day. It changed my life forever. Words do it no justice. I wish everyone could have that experience. We'd live in a much better world. Everything passed and everything will pass. The only thing that matters is the present moment. We exist. What an incredible gift. Mush love ❤ Edit: I should also add that during a trip two years ago every cigarette I lit up tasted like literal poison. I would take one hit and put out the cigarette. This was a weekend trip. By Monday, I had quit smoking. I went through the worst withdrawal over the next few days but had this determination not to give in all of a sudden. I haven't smoked since. How does it have such power? One 3-5 hour experience made a 15 year 2 pack a day smoker quit instantly. Mushrooms are life changing.

You met (in part) the God of the Bible. "And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him." - 1 John 4:16 "Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether." - Psalm 139:4 "Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure." - Psalm 147:5 "But even the hairs of your head are all numbered." - Matthew 10:30 That's what/Who changed you, not the mushrooms, which were just a tool (among many other more safe ones) to bypass the fallen human body in order to see the larger reality beyond the physical universe.

Probably the most fascinating aspect of psilocybin trips (when taken in groups) is the seemingly telepathic nature of conversations. It feels as though your minds are melding together, and you can seemingly hear each others' thoughts. Often full conversations will be had with each person saying singular words or short phrases which the others effortlessly understand and springboard off of. It's a very hard feeling to describe. All the underlying meanings and intentions of the people around you are so easy to see and understand. Everything makes so much sense. Additionally I think the fear of bad trips is overstated. I have had these before, and being able to brave your way through the unspeakable horrors of such an experience is a great test of willpower and faith.

100% the hardest journey I ever had was the most rewarding by far. And in my experience the harder the journey they more beautiful and loving and celebratory the ending is. Theres certainly a reward for facing the tough stuff and the toughs stuff or "bad trip" is just you facing the shitty parts of yourself or the bad things youve done to people. Ive yet to have a tough journey that was just needlessly terrorizing, theres a lesson and a huge amount of love behind each one as far as i can see.

Shrooms changed my life. I was 18 and I took 2gs of psilocybin mushrooms one evening with a good friend of mine on a Mountain View of a forest and all I could remember is seeing the trees swirl and blend together as if it were a painting. I have never seen anything like it. Then all of a sudden I felt the strongest emotion of guilt, happiness, sadness, anger, gratefulness, worthlessness, and acceptance all in one trip. Ever since that day I have never been the same. I feel more secure with myself and I am always striving to become a better version of myself. I am grateful for the opportunity to miraculously be alive in something we call life. It has changed the way I view myself and the world. I highly recommend trying it if you have not yet and I want to hear if anyone had a similar experience to mine.

I used psilocybin in the Eighties as a young man, initially drying and powdering them and using a heaped teaspoonful. That gave me intense trips which were more all-consuming than acid -- some very disturbing but all seemed to pull back the barriers of my awareness. I tripped alone, far from habitation, and feeling much closer to Nature. Not everyone wants their awareness expanded, but for those hoping to understand more of their psyche I regard it as a useful tool. I lost the lifelong craving for nicotine around that time, it just disappeared and I always thought that a bit odd, never made a connection. Those who wish to believe that the material world is all there is, and reject any idea of metaphysics will tend to avoid mind-altering substances, it is a door which should remain closed to them. I opened it, and it stayed open -- I´m very grateful.

One of my first shroom experiences, was on a beautiful horse ranch in Louisville Kentucky. Took way too much and danced around a bond fire with friends. I can’t put into words, how deeply you bond with people you are with, when having a trip like this. At one point, it got too much for me, and I was brought into the house, where a buddy of mine turned on Pink Floyd’s Delicate Sound of Thunder album and put Comfortably Numb on repeat. Talk about a religious experience. To this day, that song from that album, makes me emotional. I experienced every emotion known to man, while laying in his bed, listening to the song. Happiness, sadness, frightfulness; you name it. I woke up the next day, as a much more thoughtful individual. I remember being in deep thought, that next morning. I believed my life had changed for the better, somehow. How prolific, my mindset was… and cliche, but its how I felt.

I have experienced the trip to hell. By far the worst experience of my life, not even close. Imagine forgetting your entire life, who you are, what you are, not understanding the concept of time(in the worst way possible) and feeling like you were stuck like this forever. And after it was over, I experienced the best feeling ever. Unimaginable relief and clarity about what matters and what does not. I had a new found passion for the tiny beautiful details of life.

I was a skeptic. Halluciations/spiritual?.... No way. People seeing leprechaun/dragons, and this it's funny, is not the (hallucination) experience I had. BS. I laugh at them. I can relate with this post. I had a baad trip. Otherwordly. I was off this planet. And yes it was like it lasted for eternity. Alien/cosmic. I was one with the universe and everything, in that moment. I can't relate with people seeing leprechaun/dragons. I literally went to hell and back. Literally going crazy/paranoia/psychotic. I was controlling music with my mind. Messes with time. For science here's what happened/what I remember (wrote this down long ago): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3azhJ2naLOVgZI&lc=UgyaneItQX6PvzPKd_J4AaABAg (this is as close to the experience I had, esp the kaleidoscope tunnel vision at the peak) kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHTKqmmKma6BqpY&lc=Ugz5ecmIDQz9CNamXCJ4AaABAg The experience was real (not affecting my life), put it behind me. But mushrooms are not from this planet (gift from gods/universe), and give you answers to everything. Remember, I ignore eveybody, this is what factually happened.

had the exact same experience, its an incomparably scary experience to feel lost in time in your own head. I took a tab of acid in a bad place which ended up lasting for 16 hours, watching the sun rise in the morning was magical after a trip to hell, after thinking you've lost a piece of yourself. I took psychedelics at 16. I grew up in an emotionally neglectful household, only having my younger siblings as support. I'm not gonna say the psychedelic experience was anything positive or negative. It was an intimate experience with my mind and ego. Three years have passed and I wouldn't say it "cured" me, I wouldn't even say it made me happier. But It changed my ability to cope. I was able to guide myself through my past traumas and build a new foundation for myself. It changed my views on others, I feel more in touch with my relationships. It helped me understand how to actively live in the moment and do what I am passionate about, by following my personal values. But I would never know if I could do all of that without the experience, who knows what it really changed.

I guide psilocybin experiences as part of psychotherapy and it has been profound for my clients. I can tell them something 100 times and cognitively they understand it (for example: holding resentment) With psilocybin they get to experience the feeling of what holding onto resentment is doing to them. That is much more impactful than being told.

This is what makes it so impactful. We can fully understand the meaning of the words and even agree with the message but it doesn't even has a grain of impact. With psilocybin it works like a eureka moment, you believe in the thoughts because they are your own derived conclusions. The experience of your own reasoning, arriving at your own conclusions is so intense, so profound it cannot be rivaled by anything else. I have written down my own experience and came to understand why we dream, at least that is part of my reality now :) designedbynature.design.blog/2022/01/17/freeing-the-brain/

I'll be forever grateful for psychedelics. They helped me "rewire" my brain. Long story short, I got Tourettes syndrome, not in my wildest dream did I thought it was possible to locate what triggers my tics and many reasons behind them. It was like I could use the overheating brain signals to send the tics outside my body and forcing the impulse in the brain to just stay there, almost cooking. But after a while, it was cooling of. Sounds very easy, takes incredible amount of willpower but LSD, somehow, helped me locate why many of my tics is there. Like went straight into my subconcious and saw it in a way that I didn't knew was possible. Psychedelics is really incredible.

My first experience made me feel more primitive than anything at all. I found myself stripped back to a primate like entity who would gaze in awe at the nights sky seeing the constellations come together and reach towards me. Going inside there was a veil that had been lifted and a series of patterns representing a world inside our world that cant see. Hanging out with friends i could see deep into them more than i ever could before and made me realise we are all the same but disguise our true selves by the experiences we have had throughout our lives. I also had a brief outlook on life as has society taken away our basic belief structure in ourselves and each other and have we turned into just another cog in the greater picture by progressing so far. Days after i felt a oneness with everything and higher appreciation of people, myself and the magic of the universe that only the mushroom trip could have brought together. There were a lot of aha moments as my brain fired off connections that had never been connected before. I was able to make real sense of whatever i thought as i could delve deeper than ever possible before.

Life in general has been a bad trip, and I'd heard all the things about "you need to go in with a good headspace" but after 23 years and exhausting all my ability to bottle everything and never face anything, the psilocybin had me in a different state one night.. I was able to look in my head as if I was someone else.. ive always been compassionate to everyone but myself, and that night I didn't give myself the "oh someones been through worse and made it fine," nonsense. . I started to think they likely didnt feel sorry for themselves and stay there forever. I started to heal myself with that single trip into my own head.. a lifetime of trauma of different types all finally acknowledged and with a dream to look forward to- I had never played live music being obsessed with guitar and vocals all my life, born into a family who only told me to quiet down. I thought I was terrible, but i decided to leave the woman who didnt love me, who used me to look after her and her fatherless child, and go play live music.. the 3rd time i actually got up to play at that coffee shop, i was hooked.. and that night at the bar I was offered money by the owners to host.. I wasnt ready for that, nor feeling worthy as I only experiment enough to enjoy myself, and really only have covers ready to pull out at any time, of nearly most songs ive ever heard... but I just cant be responsible for the entertainment as a job.. I play for me, to feel the vibes through big speakers, and i thank the shrooms for unlocking that and so many other important life changing thoughts, by no understatement.

Psilocybin changed my life forever. I was living in a life of dopamine addiction and impulses leading my life into a life of comfort with no path. I never acted on it until one trip where I realized this and how important and serious it truly was. I realized I ignore myself and act based upon others to make them feel good. The very next day I dropped many of these friends I had after I dropped acting for them without realizing. I was actually truly like myself, I lost some friends Ofc and kept many who are friends with me to this day who I can tell and say anything to them and they will be with me to the end. I keep this expression of my true self to this day and it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As well, I healed myself with learning to love myself and finally give me, myself, attention instead of caring about what other people think. I got over my fear of death and this increased my drive to achieve my goals and dreams x10 due to how much it put into perspective on how much little time we actually have here and why should I waste time worrying about stupid, unnecessary drama’s that lead no where in life but are just there to harm you and your path to success. This was from less than 3 trips, and it completely changed my life for the better. I’ve had a very scary trip as I had ego death but once that part of it was over I realized it wasn’t scary, it was a lesson. A very harsh one too. That’s why it was scary.

I first dabbled in psychedelics at university with a buddy of mine. I took 4 grams of psilocybin. I felt as though I had unlocked a previously undiscovered part of my consciousness. Amongst the obvious visual changes, I began to question everything about societal norms, why we are the way we are and the human condition as a whole. After the trip I felt enlightened but to my own detriment as I soon started to undertake a nihilistic mentality towards life. Nothing mattered the way it did before because everything suddenly became trivial and my ambitions as well as everyone else’s were seemingly meaningless. It wasn’t until after a few more trips and years of maturity that I came to the realisation that we are all somewhat connected. The sense that nobody truly knows the reason for their existence without a shadow of a doubt. We are here, not to dwell on why we are here, but to simply BE HERE in the moment. Anyway I just thought I’d share my experience. Idk if this is a common experience but I still take psychedelics on occasion and I would highly recommend them.

I had a similar experience. It was my 2nd and last (so far) experience with shrooms. Just me and a friend. At the end, when I was still on it, I started feeling that things didn't matter, thinking about the insignificant aspects of the world. I was on a whole different level of approach while thinking about society. It was kinda scary. We ended up having a bad trip at the end after having a nice - but heavy - trip. In the next morning, we were feeling wierd, we didn't talked much about the final of the trip. The days passed and I simply lived my life again, learning impressively quickly how to "forget" about this bad part, but understanding the danger that psychedelics could have. This friend of mine commited suicide one year later. I don't think that this particular experience had any to do with that, he was depressed and had several other experiences with psychedelics (he had a lot of experience). I wouldn't say that shrooms are something dangerous, but they must be respected, and taken by people that know what they are doing. Never forget that the place, people and quantity that you are taking are the most important things to consider. I learned a lot of good things from shrooms, tho is very hard to put them in practice in daily life. I felt the most deep love for every type of life, and I know that this exists inside me with or without shrooms. There was other things that I took note afyer my 1st experience (I literally wrote them down). Anyway, sorry to extend this here, but after my dear friend passed away last year I was never able to speak with someone who felt that same thing.

Psilocybin saved my life. After one year of low carb, self help, and inner work; I felt at 90% capacity to my full potential. I weighed 160 lbs less, but still saw myself overweight. I'd always been plagued with slight depression, but after all of that work I still felt a cloud hanging over me. Ingesting 2g of psilocybin on a Sunday morning caused that cloud to vanish, my mental to become clear, and my physical state made clear to me. I went outside and ran, in the middle of January, on the snow covered sidewalks. Starting in wonder at the sky I never cared to look up and see, to hear the snow I never cared to crunch, and felt the wind I never cared to. Everything became alive with the vibration of frequency. I connected with my dog, seeing their vibrational pattern radiate to meet mine. I woke up, stopped settling for my mediocre life, and made great changes to become my greatest version.

I took 100mcg of LSD (equivalent to 2g mushrooms) once just to have some fun with my friend. Little did I know the profound effects it would have on my being. Every worry I ever had became so trivial. I could not help but to realize how stupidly we live our lives, or how seriously we take our identity to our own detriment. I remember thinking ''this is what life was like as a child''. Absolutely no thought about my stresses or problems, experiencing novelty in everything and everywhere, a general sense of well-being, heightened awareness and creativity. I have been transformed and rebirthed by this single day. I would have been a very very different person if I never had this experience. I don't know what words I can string together to convey the beauty of these states of consciousness, it is one of those things that you have to try for yourself. It became so clear to me, that this human existence is the greatest gift we have ever been given. We live and act like we know what we are doing, but we truly have no idea about anything. We like to believe that experiences with psychoactive substances are ''fake'', but the emotions I felt and thoughts that I had during the trip bore real and lasting benefits and consequences. I have always considered myself a rational person but I no longer doubted the existence of a God. There is a lot more to this world than we can perceive. This world truly is stranger than we can ever imagine.

My 1st LSD experience was in 1965 and it was life awakening. Next came mushrooms and that was my gateway into this strange & wonderful world, where trees and plants energies were felt; where fear of death was shown to be 'society's storyline'. There isn't really such a thing as a bad trip. It's not a party drug, it's for personal growth. She gives you EXACTLY what you need to grow. She will show you who you are. If you have a "bad" trip it's trying to refletc something important to you that you are ignoring. It may very well be that you have a lot of fear, anxiety, depression, etc. in your life and in that particular trip your attention is being forced to face it. Your job is then to ask why. Why do you have this fear and anxiety? More importantly, WHO is it that is experiencing this fear? If you are the type to avoid, reason away, push down, ignore, etc. than Psilocibin will throw it right in your face so that you cannot ignore it, must face it, so that you can process it. For if you do not process it, it will be baggage that will drag you down for your entire life.

I agree 100%. I think a lot of people don't understand what hell is or how it begins here and now. We hear hell and think lakes of fire and monsters. What I see now is that it's a language of metaphor. Angels and demons are personifications of subconscious archetypes that exist within us all. Hell is the torment that we bring upon ourselves by straying from the path of righteousness, which I mean from the realist perspective not a religious one. There is a good way to do things and a bad way. Doing things the good way doesn't always seem efficient but its a slow and steady improvement, internal and external. Doing things the bad way sometimes seems consequence free, but its a slow and steady descent into misery and torment, internal and external.

My first psychedelic trip was a double dose of LSD, the experience was easily the most profound moment. I never once in my life indulged emotionally in the thought that everything is infinite and after death everything will be okay, but on that trip I remember realizing that everything is connected, everything is infinite, everything will be okay (even death). At one point I went into the bathroom and stared in the mirror at myself and watched myself age from age 24 all the way up to an old and gray man to dying... I walked out of the bathroom with tears in my eyes being overwhelmed with happiness and peace that everything will be okay, and told all my friends who were also trying LSD for the first time to "go look in the mirror, you NEED to look in the mirror" but everyone else was too afraid to do it. For anyone that has death anxiety, depression, and trouble finding meaning in their lives: I definitely recommend considering this as a catalyst to peace. My only recommendation is try to go into the experience with an open mind and no negative thoughts or emotions.

For example, he exposed me to the animal research that counters alpha males and hierarchies of brute force with notions of fair play and complex structures. On the other hand, he implies there isn't and shouldn't be a solution to wealth inequality and that the rich hoarding few at the top should accumulate more and more wealth disproportionately.
