I too LOVE Donna's videos...the crispness of her rotary slices, her brisk hand-pressing of those seams (they would not dare to go the wrong way!) and, oh the beautiful expanse of that pressing table as that iron steams that fabric into perfect position! Oh man, to have a gorgeous shop to go into and be able to use all those fabulous tools at her disposal to make gorgeous quilts!! What a life! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Good morning Donna, Matt and all at Jordan Fabrics, This is such an opulent beauty Donna, with it's rich gold threads and jewel colours that make it fit for a Queen or King. This would fit well in with the beautiful décor of any of our Palaces here in the UK, but still be useable instead of an ornamental artefact that is in them. A stunning quilt with stunning fabrics that is making my poor wee brain want, but for the UK's various fees that they charge. Oh well, window shopping it is yet again, plus i don't have a working sewing machine at the moment, so i'll content myself with window shopping and lusting here myself, lol. Thank you flower for sharing with us yet again your brilliant talents in the stitching world, you truly have inspired millions of people with your kind nature and understanding, making more of us into quilters that would never have considered it beforehand. I hope that your extended family(ie your staff/friends/family) are back helping you to do what you do best, making happy people make happy things. Sending crafty hugs to you all, from Norah, Glenochil Village, Scotland

I love this method for joining the pieces to make the block. I use this method ALL THE TIME when joining my blocks to make a quilt top. Great pointers like pressing fabric before cutting and the correct way to pressing seams so they don’t become distorted. It’s the little thing that can effect the way a block comes together.

I have made two quilts by a pattern like this. The components were put together in a different manner, but the end result was basically the same. The star legs were made with the eight half square triangles at a time method, and the 16 patch was all scrappy. Even so, I still learned something from this video. Good job, Donna. I always enjoy your videos.
