Malthusian is the word that describes the RESULTS of all Leftist Policy best. They will shout and wail like children about their intentions and blame everyone else for everything they do, but it has to be deliberate.... they are anti-life right down the line. They don't just hate carbon and human reproduction, everything from traffic patterns to Health Care to their laws are against humanity, and the reason is FEAR, fear of people. Just like the ruling class always has been, they fear anyone that does not have to go to them on your knees begging "please sir, may I have another?" Not just evil, but totally insane, that's the Left today.

Not only do my wife and I blame her several doses of COVID "vaccine" for her nightmarish prognosis but she was also taking ozempic for a falsified case of diabetes that the hospital was unable to confirm ever existed. When she died, they didn't even have the time or motivation to wipe the blood off her mouth from the fatal bloody coughing fit that ended her life before we came in to view the body and say goodbye. She was a victim of rampant pharmacological harms and died suffering without enough staff in a dirty hospital. She used to have Bonnie Henry merchandise. Her husband was active in local politics and actually knows David Eby and Adrian Dix and somehow still hasn't lost faith in those men. My wife and I desperately want to flee and the only barrier is cost and familial loyalty. We both want to be close to our fathers as they age.

My wife and I requested a walk through of my daughter’s school. She’s entering kindergarten, and with all the insanity that has come from the changes to our curriculum, I wanted to make sure it would be a safe place for her. My wife and I were shocked at what we saw. Flags draped over the principals office window, flags on every classroom door. A “gender neutral” poster, made in crayon by very young kids (in the K-grade 3 wing). I spoke with the principal in her office, alone, for 15 mins. I was given absolutely no assurance that my concerns will be addressed in terms of the SOGI guidelines being pushed on my daughter. I was given no assurance that I could be notified prior to any controversial lessons on the topic, because “most lessons at this stage are done through certain books the teacher chooses to read, and there’s no way for us to know what those might be”. 2 hrs after that walkthrough, my wife had called another school. A private school with a religious component. It wasn’t the route we were initially considering, but after seeing first hand the insanity inside the public school system, we feel our decision was a good one to take her out.

@@fsjsamsam I agree, I don't care for his personality. I think it's time to put someone in office for their policies. I don't care if they are assholes. Sometimes I think we need that in a leader. I am sure the topics were discussed prior to the interview. With the flow of the conversation, the length of the conversation and how it hopped from topic to topic I would find it hard to believe it was scripted. My favorite part of his character was when he stood his ground on fertilizer and went against his parties wishes. That is what all of our MLA's and MP's should do. JP uses this term "radical utopia-ism" a few times without defining it as means to smear the NDP. What has the NDP done during its tenure that comes close to any understanding of utopia? Like what: free lunches for all school age children? Or, what protect all of the old-growth forests? Using that term is called "hyperbole" - meant to scare and exaggerate a point. Populist politicians, like Trump, use hyperbole all of the time to secure their base and then hope the fear spreads like wild fire. Just saying here the NDP are not the "radical left". Did they nationalize any private companies, like CanFor that just shut down two more sawmills?

Thank you both for a quality conversation! God speed Mr Rustad!!! I was one being forced to leave BC and find space where a conversation is not censored or cancelled, I stopped searching for where.. Time to put an enormous amount of focus and energy with education of the facts, to create the province and the country that serves the land and the life on it respectfully with a promise to the future generations of their full potential be realized while aligned under their future generations stewardship, quality of life and contribution to fostering the best and highest intentions for all concerned. Thank you for being one of the many heroes our country so desperately needs! Nothing more contagious than an idea whose time has come! This election needs to be safeguarded and produce a turn out that leaves no question of what this countries people stands for! A world our hearts know is possible, and our values to deliver it. I so want again, to be proud of where Canada stands in the world. Complacent Canadians, no more!!!

I have a Dutch (dual citizen - Dutch/Canadian) friend that I went to high school with in BC. He ended up developing severe seizure issues after we graduated. The waiting list for him to see a specialist to get diagnosed in BC was over 3 years. His doctor apparently was worried they would get so severe that he would end up dying. He moved back to the Netherlands and had to wait only 2 weeks to get a diagnosis, medication and a surgery to fix it. Even though he has a relatively normal life now, he's classified as disabled in the Netherlands and has a fulfilling life in a specialist care home. Comparatively, if he had his issues fixed in Canada, he'd be forced to work and wouldn't get any form of disability.

I wish John and his colleagues good fortune in the BC elections. The changes they're advocating are long overdue. I'm a conservative American and we've got our challenges going on down here in the States, but it seems to me that yours in Canada are even greater. I know a bit about BC having grown up in northeastern Washington near Spokane. My granddaughter is a professor of business at the University of Victoria, and I watched her trip through graduate school academia with alarm. The echo chamber brainwashing there is unbelievable. Her own posture is just to hunker down and pretend that she has no political views just in order to avoid the severe cognitive dissonance that surrounds her everyday.

Left Alberta with my wife and three teenage and 20 something daughters, three years ago exactly. Moved to the south eastern United States, not Florida. Cost of living Here is at least 1/3 lower then Alberta. Canadians have been brainwashed to think they have a great healthcare system, nothing could be further from the truth. A knee replacement here you’re waiting about 12 weeks. Canada is what, about 18 months to two years right now? I believe the average in Alberta is 12 weeks to see an oncologist (average), down here it is about one week. Canada’s response to Covid is why we eventually left. That was the icing on the cake. I’m glad to be living in a place where freedom of speech and assembly has no caveat, low taxes, & entrepreneurialism is celebrated.

South Carolina? That's where I'm headed. Enough of this failed state up north.
@ciaranmeeks94314 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, you'll probably have to come up with several hundred thousand dollars for that theoretical knee replacement too. Out of pocket, all at once, like a restaurant bill at the end of a meal. The wait times may be better, but if you don't have an INCREDIBLE source of income, by most accounts I've ever heard, the cost of US healthcare plunges most average people into a nightmare world of debt.
@tombarrett77974 ай бұрын
@@ciaranmeeks9431 You do realize that health insurance is available in the US, right?
@ciaranmeeks94314 ай бұрын
@@tombarrett7797 Of course, but also at much greater personal cost. In Canada you barely notice the deductions for Medical on your cheques. Americans need to have very good paying jobs, and even then likely have to budget for the cost. Not to mention all the horror stories you hear about insurance companies finding loopholes to avoid paying for this and that. I mean...you can go back and forth on this stuff all day if you want, but bottom line - it's far more costly down there. People can obviously decide for themselves which system is preferable, but personally I'll take the Canadian wait times over US-style financial ruination any day of the week.

Thanks so much for this great interview along with some deep philosophical conversations with John Rustad. He is very grounded, down to earth and knowledgable in a lot of different topics and thinks the big picture in our society, especially when it comes to the economic well being, and how that relates to our quality of life, rather than the typical far-leftist narrow minded views of (David Eby) identity politics and rhetoric that's so prevalent not just here in BC, but much of the English speaking Western world. I live in BC (Lower Mainland) and I'm really liking what I'm hearing from Rustad, and I think he'll make a great premier. In fact, finally a very obvious and viable choice in the upcoming provincial election for the first time in over 2 decades! I hope more British Columbians can get a chance to watch this particular show and go beyond the thin veneer of far-leftist propaganda. John Rustad for BC Premier 2024!
