Nice video. Man, it makes me feel old watching someone go 100% like that, 😂😂. My game is much slower and has a lot less effort than it used to. I like how much control you have over space with someone going 100%. It still takes energy to control someone going that hard, but worse if you give them space. You have a lot of control and I gather you’re safe to roll with. That’s the mark of an excellent training partner.

High quality Video and my favorite part was your half guard game. I think the best way to Deal with it is to not engage it at all lol. I would like to get a half guard as such as yours. Playing bottom guard in mma and self defence is generally stupid, but its nice to have a a plan if we get taken down or we fall accidentially to the ground. Just to not get smashed or soccer kicked in the face. Eventually to do a technically stand up.

Jordan, when you were working to finish the triangle at the beginning and had your foot on his hip. The second he tries to stand posture up and stand on that leg, bail from your foot on his hip and immediate start to put it just above his knee and push it out so he ends up falling deeper into your triangle. I can't tell you how many times that gets me the finish when I'm stuck in that exact spot with someone bigger/stronger than me. Right about at the :53 or :54 mark, start to chop out his base on that leg and he's gonna fall deeper into the triangle. As long as you keep your knee pinched you should be able to keep his arm trapped as you change the angle and get the easy finish. I've learned a ton from your videos and maybe I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but in the event it could help I figured I had to speak up just in case. Triangles are my strong suit by far, too bad the rest of it isn't nearly as polished. Thank you for your videos brother.

Hi Jordan, on the first triangle sub, do you ever switch your triangle lock to the other side and attack that near side arm? I’ve used it when people defend in that manner as it drives their head to the mat. Of course it’s easier if they are hiding the arm as then you can peel it for the arm bar or go to the omoplata. Andy Murasaki uses this sometimes.
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Жыл бұрын
Ya definitely I do. Sometimes it is path of least resistance to do so. Kieren is so strong that it may have been hard to do so and I wanted that triangle haha
