This was a bit of a transitionary model as it replaced the white/grey Galaxy models. These style of fans go all the way back the 70s, which is when the Blue translucent blades first came to sale (this is probably when Sears made a Green translucent variant). Then during the 80s it was the brown/amber model. Once the very early 90s rolled in, they initially used the same badge design but in white/grey, but then after that they switched to this model with the Lasko style badge. These were also the very last lasko fans to use this old galaxy style before switching to the Lasko 2009/2012/2016 designs. And of course Air King is still keeping this type of design in production which is amazing if you think about it. I believe Air King has been making those since the 1990s but it's just my speculation since its when they started selling fans. Either way it's nice you were able to acquire this fan as its not very common especially complete in box.

It's a shame as the front cage is way too deep and those flat grille badges are so dull - it kind of makes it look like a faded version of the originals. However definitely a lot better than most of its peers. It's a great find for sure.

Definitely a 1996 model I used to have the 16 inch variant of this long ago and I remember on the capacitor it had a date of 11/96 I’m not sure if yours has that but I really like this era of Laskos! I used to see these all over when I was in kindergarten! And the cafeteria had the 16 inch wall mounted Dayton Laskos!

Needs some balancing but seems to be a good fan. If that's a PSC motor I'm surprised the capacitor is still good after sitting unused for 3 decades.

Your fan is from between 1994-96 because I have the 93-94 2150S, The grills are still square with the rear guard having no retainer

I think thats gotta be a 96 model and its not the last digit its the first that translates to the date and the grills are different its more like the 2000 front grill shape but both front and back plus the badge and motor housing is a give away too But nun the less thats a really cool find i mostly always see these yellowed and degrading
