I admire so much more a fighter that is willing to risk losing in the quest for glory. Linares is a perfect example.

Today´s boxers are too concerned about the 0´s. That´s why we love Linares, Lomachenko to say two of the modern era... They represent everything boxing stands for. Exceptional skill, they take risks, they are devoted and they won´t budge to setbacks. Jorge is a great warrior i was sad seeing him losing his last fight, but he gave us so much thrill. Great documentary mate, thanks!

I’m extremely sad we won’t get to see anymore fights from Linares. He has been one of my favorite fighters to watch for the last 10 years. What a career.

Linares has some of the most aesthetically pleasing offense in boxing history. I love his combinations. Hope he has a great retirement.

He's one of my favorites! I love that people aren't being mean towards him here right now unlike other times

A gentleman and a warrior. The finest offensive stylist since the one and only Ricardo Lopez. Linares versus Kevin Mitchell is one of the great boxing matches for purests of modern times...exciting as all hell too. I find it hard to believe but almost no one gives Linares any hate, and in this day and age, the guy seems to get only love and respect from the press and the fans and that alone says everything you need to know. May the man have all the health and happiness in his retirement, he mored than earned it. Respect.

Well said! I know, I see very little hate for the guy. Much like the Japanese fighters, came through the ranks always showing lots of respect.

He is my favorite boxer of all time, he was so fast, balanced, strong, hard hitting and able to move real smooth

Truly an inspiration to young boxers everywhere, he took the tougher times in his career as a lesson to come back better and stronger ( with such a mindset we always "win")

I've had the pleasure to have met Jorge. He's a really nice guy who I got to have a good chat with. From that meeting, I have a treasured framed photo of us together on my man cave wall. I also met Salas the same day. Also, what a great guy. So funny. I also have a picture with him on the wall.

Would’ve loved to see him vs Ryan Garcia at 140 one last pay day for Linares to but if he’s happy he shouldn’t come back
@BoxingLife10 ай бұрын
Yeah I think he would’ve actually had more success compared to the Catterall fight. But clearly these other guys didn’t want the fight.
@Duel198211 ай бұрын
He would've beaten Lomachenko had he been a couple years younger.
@crs779411 ай бұрын
No he wouldn’t , that was prime Loma. One of if not the most technical boxer we have ever seen. Prime linares was great but what we saw prime Loma do against all these world champions was out of this world
@Duel198211 ай бұрын
@@crs7794 prime Loma was still losing on one card and even on a 2nd card in the 11th round against a faded Linares, who dropped prime Loma and won half the fight. Had Jorge been younger, quicker, and more reflexive, there's a real chance he would've won that fight on points. Jorge could take body shots when he was younger. And Lomachenko isn't close to being the most technical fighter ever. That makes you sound new to the sport. He has massive technical flaws that have led to him losing on multiple occasions. He throws arm punches and squares up/crosses his feet constantly. Lesser fighters are bamboozled by his movements but every time he fought anyone remotely technical themselves salido, Ortiz, Linares, Haney, pedraza, Lopez, etc. he didn't look spectacular.
