EVERWILD comments! This game is in eh genre of female-oriented games and I mean this in the best sense, divine feminine principles expressed in game theme, combat and art style. We need a list of these games! My recall is ZERO OF THEM HAVE BEEN PROFITABLE. Horizon ZD is the exception which proves the rule. Any game centered around healthy feminine values, with less macho action and lead character than Horizon, gets trolled by immature males unconsciously dealing with "fragile masculinity" (this is a real topic which Google search can educate you on). The closest successful game to an Everwild free to Play is perhaps the free to play mobile game made by the devs who made Flower and some similar short console games. Very niche yet quite profitable is what I recall. I'd prefer to play Everwild as a single player console release; but it would need a much stronger masculine presence OF SOME KIND. Everyone's comments are welcome.

NDIANA JONES 2 comments! As a writer and artist myself, I'm very impressed with the brain trust of talent which was behind this Indy game. I supsect most gamers wont understand this game had ALOT MORE WRITER TALENT INVOLVED than most games, exactly what Star Wars Outlaws lacked. As several have comments, it made up for the Indy 5 movie by James Mangold. I agree Disney wants another good game like this. I supect after Indy 5 movie and this game, the brain trust has had it with Indy games. My constructive suggestion is to make more Young Indianna Jones TV and games. The excellent Frank Darabont TV series could easily be a blueprint for a playable game. Are you listening, Kathleen Kennedy?

Absolutely ready for the next Uncharted game! I like the Indiana Jones franchise, as well as Tomb Raider games, but Uncharted is still the best for me in the adventure genre. Looking forward to the next game, even if Naughty Dog won't work on it. :)

Yeah nearly every Sony property has a female protagonist now. It's getting really stale and not at all close to reflecting the majority of its audience. We need to get through this era of over the top dei nonsense before female protagonists are acceptable again.

You could literally say that having a Male MC for almost every game had been Stale with that logic, Having a female protagonists should always be accepted because it isn’t about us, it’s about the story. In the end we have to like it for it to be successful but I refuse to be pandered to because people complaining. Go be creative, if you want to write a game or movie or show with a female mc please go do it, I welcome the difference because it doesn’t effect anything. We are consumers of stories, I don’t see the same people going and complaining about all the book series with female protagonists. For years we had a male mc dominated industry and because the last 5 years has really tried to bring new female leads into the spotlights we have people complaining not realizing their complaints lack any real foundation. Their MCs don’t have to reflect their audience, it’s a video game not a marketing scheme. It’s a story, and as the creator of a story you have the freedom to make any character however you want. We have consumed stories since the beginning of time, I have been playing games since I was 5 years old, I never once cared THAT much that there was a female mc. Not as much as you see a lot of people. The past 5 years while having female MCs, has also had still twice as much have male MCs, so it’s not like that’s all there is either. I feel like that’s a completely ridiculous stance to have, especially when a lot of those female characters are good characters

To check a box. I like princess Leia, Ripley and Lara Croft. I dont like female characters written as male or females physically stronger than males "just cuz". Gamers want to see themselves in the characters they play as. That's why there's create a character, body types, transmog, etc. I don't think we agree but we aren't necessarily arguing either.

It should be pointed out that the Dead Space Remake did indeed make a profit...it just wasn't the obscene profit that EA wanted, so they cancelled any plans for a DS2 Remake. You don't hate EA enough.

Blue point did an excellent job remaking the first three uncharted games out of the antiquated programming language into the new one. I would like to see blue point get a shot at an original uncharted game. I heard a rumor at one time there were plans for a Sullivan prequel. Even saw a quick look at some concept art for it during one of those naughty dog studio tours for IGN.

Yea I mean I never played any of their other series so can’t speak for those but there literally wasn’t a single assassins creed game that was bad aside from Valhalla maybe. I’m definitely not worried about shadows it’ll do well. Ignore the politics side of it the main characters could tell an interesting story.

@@tyleroutland435 I don’t want to say it was bad actually it did have its moments I’m just not big into the Viking setting, for people that are they probably loved it. My only other complaint was that the map was so big but nothing was in it. Oddysey and origins didn’t feel like that I loved the exploration in those. But I know they won’t make that same mistake in shadows. And the story dragged but I felt it got interesting towards the end.

I will still say this. I think Ubisoft will come back strong. Yes they have had flops but the AC franchise is their money makers and even if people don't like the game they will still buy it and play it. Most people rank Vahalla as the worst AC game ever but it still was one of the highest selling AC games ever and I feel like Shadows is more ambitious and has more hype than Vahalla had pre-launch so I don't see Shadows making less than Vahalla. Shadows is feeding what AC fans want and on top of that the setting will sell. I feel like vikings helped Vahalla sales a lot because people wanted a vikings open world RPG game and with Shadows I feel like Japan is a setting AC lovers have always wanted and a Samurai and Ninja open world RPG is popular right now. In fact I would bet that Shadows gets the Xbox and PC market from from those who cant play Ghost of Yotei because of its Sony port. People might be worried but it looks like Ubisoft has everything they need in Shadows and in the timing to make Shadows the most profitable AC game of all time.

I think AC: Shadows will sell quite well but won't be a run away success they are hoping for. Will Ubisoft change as a result? Probably not. I think the decay will just keep happening and that something else will be the trigger for a big change such as outside investors taking control or a poor performing later title, maybe Hexe.

Starfield and Star Wars Outlaws are good games. Toxic politics and trolls are the problem. Outlaws is a great Star Wars game. Starfield is solid could use better writers but the game is good and has some very good missions and designs.

I'm not being cynical but Ubi isn't a game studio anymore for a long time now, going open made them into a global business investments fund which caused them to have shareholders as a priority and not games... No matter how good a game they launch is, if it isn't a billion dollar revenue they shot down. I'm really rooting for AC Shadows but as already meantioned I also don't think they will keep themselves in this business after that... I hope I'm wrong.

So, some notes on Dead Space 2 remake. I would not say they "cancelled it due to dead space 1 remake selling poorly" because that isn't really true. According to an "insider" it was "shelved" due to what they referred to as poor sales, but these people always fail to see bigger pictures. The bigger picture is that EA needed Motive, the studio who did Dead Space 1 Remake on another project far more than they need Dead Space 2 Remake right now. That game, if you follow EA, you should already know.... BATTLEFIELD. So EA have rather sh*t the bed with the past few entries of the Battlefield franchise. For this next entry coming out either fall 2025 or spring 2026 they have given it a few extra years than usual and have it helmed by Vince Zampella. To say EA wants all hands on deck to make Battlefield a household name again is an understatement. This is why EA needs Motive to be working with DICE among others on getting Battlefield back. After this, I am near 85% sure that Motive will then return to Dead Space 2 Remake. The "insider" knew it was shelved, but didn't really think about why. EA didn't cancel Dead Space 2 Remake, they deprioritized it for Battlefield. They will be back.

But then comes a game that was too difficult to bear (for whatever reasons) and people would go crying, wishing Ubisoft is still around. Id love to see Infamous 1-2 Remake for current Gen at least a Remaster so we can play them on current and future Generations yes I know you can stream them but when you technically live in the woods in rural Canada internet is an issue. Come on Sucker Punch/Nixxes don’t have to change anything just make it look better and feel better. A Horizon mobile game? The LEGO game wasn’t for me, although I’m glad people are having fun with it, and I don’t play games on my phone. And when corporations start talking “synergy,” it sounds like a fancy way to say “we just want to make more money.” But Corpos gonna corpo. If they’re putting their time and energy into a mobile Horizon game now, it doesn’t look like they will be creating a proper third Horizon game for console any time soon - if ever - and that’s a shame.
