I’m loving this game. I haven’t been this hooked on a game in years. My only issue with it is the fact that there is no map or compass at least. It becomes so overwhelming when your roaming and there are so many paths to take and no map to be able to know if you’re going in the right direction or making a complete circle lol

4:12 Spending your focus points BEFORE a transformation is sometimes not the best play, some transformations (for example Ebon Flow) use the focus points you have to charge up your R2+Square/RT+X attacks, which is useful in some situations

At first I used staff spin just to bm my enemy after I found out it actually deals damage. But I keep using it because it's actually a good move. Beside gaining focus, it also combos really good with Wulong's armor with dealing crits to reduce cooldowns of spells

Mobile spin followed by Charged/Heavy Attack kinda makes sense, we've always seen WuKong in live action/cartoon show spin it all the time, so in a way its like an homage to the character and for nostalgia (whether if they did that intentionally I do not know). "in some cases the Mobile Spin does not cancel Immobile Spell" That's because, as we all know, Mobile Spin does very little damage. But clearly it has good payoff. 5:18 Good to know you can replenish some HP by releasing a charged Heavy attack even if you aren't attacking anything, then again, it only works if you charge up the Focus....

Easy way to regen Hp without Gourds -Go to the *Staff Stances* Page -Upgrade *Exhiliration* to 3 -The upgrade *Sweeping Gale* for the *Pillar Stance* upgrade tree says in the description *Consume a focus point* to execute a sweeping attack"....but the thing is you can execute this WITHOUT A FOCUS POINT but if you have *Exhiliration* the game reads that move as using a focus point so it will Regen HP. THe other staff trees DONT ALLOW THIS! I dont know if its a bug now but I noticed it recently. You can't regen HP without a focus point on the other staff trees. One thing though.....You *CAN* use *Sweeping Gale* without a focus point and get HP.....you CAN NOT Regen HP with *Churning Gale* if you have that upgrade UNLESS YOU DO have a focus point. THis means you need at least 2 focus points for *CHURNING GALE* to regen HP *you don't even need to attack an enemy for this to work. Just light attack the air then sweeping gale*

the potion that give you more max mana is really good on spell bind ability .. just pop the potion then the ability and get even more extra damage from conversion :)

to the focus spending before going into transformation a lot of the transformations take your pre transform focus and use that as fuel for their abilities so for some you want max focus before transforming not spending it before transforming

This game punishes and abuses me. I'm a decent gamer and have done as far as playing areas around 80 times just to get a few sparks to upgrade and still not strong enough to beat the next boss if only by accident! What am I missing!??

It is useful to farm up focus points then transform when using ashen slumber so you have full bar of fire, how I bet that mad yellow dragon guy it’s very useful if you’re stuck on him, staggers a lot.

2:23 Although mobile spin gives focus, damage wise thrust stance’s Whirling thrust has more dps. It gives stacking crit chance the longer you do it.

4:40 It may have been patched out.(?) But in my game you get the same health from charged attacks but it gives you the moment you start charging and not after you release it. Edit: When you have that weapon it will grant your health without it no.

Yeah, I just got to chapter 3, and I’m super interested in spec-ing heavily into that Spellbinder… Considering it’s permanent, til you respawn, you increase the damage it does by increasing your max mana, and you no longer have to worry about your mana use from casting… It looks good to me! With the right weapon, armor, and talisman it should be good!

I tend to put all mana items/spirits on at the shrine for max mana, cast spellbinder then switch the items back to combat based stuff. You keep the initial damage from when you casted at max mana

4:32 i feel like you shouldnt spend focus with ebon flow transformation or rather the blacksmith. If i go in with 4 bars instead of 3. I can instantly turn into his enhancend mode. Staggers the bosses so easily. I was one of the secret bosses in chapter 4. Not optimized build but pluck of many timed with the chapter 2 vessel and then i switched into that mode off of 4 focus bars and took out the other 1/3 of health

You don’t always want to spend your focus before a transformation, there are few that get buffs and bonuses when you go into it consuming your focus

It's not that fun getting my a$$ beat 39 times by a boss when I do everything right because dodging perfectly sometimes doesn't even work. Sometimes I even stay back to play the same area 80 times to gain sparks to slightly upgrade, but not enough to feel ready for the next boss! I think it's just your execution that's lacking. Things are consistent. But would recommend farming the "see no evil" headband in chapter 3 to make perfect dodges easier

This game is so fucking awesome, that when i started i started it with keyboard and mouse - NOPE. Does not fit me. Then i took my dualshock 4 - NOPE. I hate consoles and controllers and Dualshock 4 is the worst too small for my hands. NOW i ordered xBox one Electric Volt color = Yes now it's best what i can do - LET'S FUCKING GOOOO. Anyone playing this with mouse and keyboard? Thats not how it meant to be played. I hate consolles i hate controllers. Now i love them. On PC only. My mouse and target lock - NOPE. Not for mouse. Monkey says no to keyboard and mouse = Monkey says YES for xBox X/S controller - can i say no to Monkey? NO.

If you're talking about the one at the very beginning you can craft the full set once you reach chapter 4. Theres a new material you have to get but you'll find enough of it in no time. It's called "Golden" something. Full 4 piece set

I played the Darksouls games & I legitimately stopped playing because it was too hard and grindy. Black Myth has its moments, but it’s more forgiving & easier to play than Darksouls which in-turn made the game more fun for me.
