Game science has really made a welcome return to the NG+ advantages!!! Back in the days Games had very neat NG+ feats for example the old game Dino crisis had massive NG+ system. I'm very happy to notice that Wukong has incredible NG+ content and the game is really fun to play on NG+ since you no longer need to farm that much and can truly enjoy the games visual and story telling aspects. It's not longer a struggle, it's a relaxing Journey to the west.

You can only get the increased crit chance after casting a spell with the full set of wukong armor. Meaning you have to use the jingubang. You can’t get it with another staff.

0:38 Flower Prime isn't needed once you go over 100 bane resistance, you simply don't get any bane effects. I'm level 342 with all Xu Dog's pills maxed out as well and I do not get poisoned, burned, frozen, or shocked anymore lol. The interesting thing is that even if you don't get burned, if you stand in fire or lava, you still take small amounts of damage. You'd still want the Fire Kasaya if you run around Chapter 5.

If it's a small amount of damage it doesn't really matter all that much to sip the gourd once or twice while exploring. That said, the resistances part in this game is one of the worst parts It's completely useless for regular NG since the accessories barely raise it and don't make any notable change and the mindcore investment is gigantic. Unless you're doing a huge amount of grinding you're not gonna max out anything important before NG+ and you'd rather put your mindcores into health, stamina and mana before anything else.

I just platinum'd the game at the end of ng+. I actually find ng+ a little disappoiting as enemies and progress is the same. Sure, there are a few more loots, but that's more for completionism rather than content. I'll definitely play DLC for sure, but i wouldn't mind a randomizer mod lol

The only thing you can shoot for after platinum is getting all 6 relics 3 times so you can unlock the secret Wukong stance outside chapter 6. It takes a minimum of 3 playthoughs to get, if you get the secret ending all three times. It’s pretty underwhelming though. I went ahead and did it because it took me 5 total playthroughs to get platinum. I kept missing the Fickle Forms trophy, and by extension, the Clamor of Frogs trophy.

By to way you can seriously buff up the damage if you use all the mana+ curios and the helmet and then take the potion that adds more mana for a long period and only then use the Spell Binder spell. You get way over 300 attack with that and a high crit. chance. Can do pretty devastating >8000 crits with that build. 😆

They should let you keep replaying whatever NG+ you want from scratch kinda how Borderlands 2 does it. Cause you’ll eventually get to a point where you literally can’t play anymore. I’m currently on NG+ but hearing how the game gets insanely difficult after NG+++ it makes me want to stop there and wait for DLC. Having the option to pick what NG+ we want and replay that NG+ will increase the games longevity tenfold

There is also a hidden armor set in chapter 6 that scales your defense to the amount of relic talents unlocked, I'm on ng+3 with all 18 slots activated, plus my curios I have almost 900 defense, that plus the black iron staff and spell binder is making for an immensely fun but challenging run You just have to beat Erlang and the Great Sage 3 times each, no problem right?

I just loved my 1st playthrough … immediately jumped to NG+… was able to kill all bosses in first try except great sage… but somewhere i felt bosses are too easy. Little annoying was bosses evade and move away from our aggressive attacking style too often … From software games - we keep running and evading from aggressive bosses Black myth Wukong - Boss keep running from us. Except secret boss and great sage.. It becomes more evident in NG++

Honestly I love this game but it’s not fun anymore. Apparently every time you replay it AKA new game plus it, the bosses become twice as hard and for me that’s absurd because I’m a guy who understands that first time playing it ok it’s a little bit difficult no problem but once you beaten the game and upgrade and maxed out everything you should be able to beat all of the bosses at least a little bit easier but no it doesn’t matter whether you unlock everything, upgrade you’re defense or upgrade your weapon or unlock all of your skill tree, it doesn’t matter the game will one shot you no matter what you do or how much you upgrade your stuff it won’t make any difference. So I’m hoping they add some sort of difficulty settings so that those of us who’ve already beaten the game or just want to enjoy it now don’t have to try hard every time we replay it and hopefully when these DLC comes out they’ll add difficulty settings for those who just wants to enjoy the game

Feel like I’m actively getting worse at the game now that I’m in NG+, no strategy, no dodging, just bumrushing every area and boss, currently nearing the end of chp 3 in NG+ and have yet to need a gourd sip on a single fight so far, heaven forbid when the difficulty spikes again in future cycles and I’ve effectively forgotten how to play 😂

I will say they should buff Wukong after like Ch.3 because at that point, especially with the Wukong Stance for beating the game 3 times, you should be waaaaaay stronger. Bosses 1-2shot you and your dmg output is not as good. Amazing game nonetheless but I would like this change

5:00 the stormflash staff is acctually the worst weapon to craft. Not only it does nothing to your thunder damage, it makes you take more damage, AND this thunder build up will worn out faster thanks to your resistant in lightning bane :) ? The more you resist, the worst it gets... More information you can check you SYROBE youtube chanel, he has tested all the weapon effects and this staff (maybe it's bugged, may be not, but currently it does absolute nothing to the thunder damage increase), beside it's good base crit chance, there's no point crafting it (i have finished NG+++ with 162h play on 1 save slot, and i did try it, it sucks .... sadly)

I'm on NG+. I loved the game except for the last secret boss. I hated and almost quit the game. That one ruined my experience with the game. I went through the game with basically no problem and then I spent 20 hours only on that boss alone! Frustrating and unbalanced.

Just to be aware, there's a bug out for the frog. It turns into the mythical frog If you miss one of the tadpoles, you won't be able to upgrade him
