Aloha. I am pleased ro hear laureate Stiglitz speak in a solitary interview. I agree that basic science should be the universial heritage of humankind. As civilization's advancement of replicatible science progresses inventors have ever less claim to exclusive roots for their extensions of technology. Sophisticated prototype development also less likely to be possible to inventors. You Tube is a platform for widely disseminating plausible undeveloped technology. Again I am pleased to meet Laureate Stiglitz. Aloha

Followed laureate Stiglitz and others such as Amtya Sen, Chang now Mazzucato for years. Freedom now situated in economics... In my view this raises burden on functionality of liberal democracy-beyond elections to transformational delivery especially in poor countries.. Information, not always truth may become the biggest threat to economic- social systems, leaning the other way from pursuit of national missions to transform societies, for my right to do as I please.. The debate will rage for a while.

He's right of course, which is why he could never be secretary of the Treasury or Commerce Departments. The USA is on its way out because of all the subjects he highlighted, especially since Climate Change is a direct result of corporate malfeasance.
