You leave hours at a time to "bushwhack". ..while school season starts and the submissive wife takes over..so you can explore yourself. Yep, you took a week or 8_9 days vacation with the so called family, but time was put in and family can stand by.....what a joke __who do you think you are really kidding? People who watch your vids have REAL jobs, and not narcissistic videos to make money. ...though for you it pays for your tattoos, eh?

Kelisha Donnu life is all about mindset. You would enjoy camping if you didn't have preconceived notions about it. I'm a young girl too. Bugs can be a problem, but everything else about it is wonderful. Get away from the internet once in awhile, and live life the way we were supposed to. You will thoroughly enjoy it if you put your mind to it. Open your mind don't close it. There is so much more to life than the internet. Your comment only shows that you have a negative outlook on camping/outdoors. Put the effort in to not be negative and grow up a little. You will thank me later

Thanks Joe for sharing all of your experience freely. I am 70 years young and am inspired. Doubt I will ever go out in the big woods alone but my little cabin is in a wooded area on a small lake shore. I am going to build a lean to near my house, make a fire pit, and practice "bush craft" just to learn new skills. I have always been an "outdoor girl" so this should be fun. Have bug out bags packed but camping includes a bit more stuff. A big tent for all 5 dogs... LOL Thanks for who you are and what you do.

My name is Gavin young, I am a 16 year old newfound bushcraft enthusiast from the United States. After months and months of research and searching I narrowed the perfect pack down to the one and only helags 40L pack. However to my misfortune, I have just found out this line was discontinued. After weeks of watching videos, reading reviews and even going through Facebook pages, and forums of people that want this pack, I finnaly decided to reach out too you. This pack is truly one of a kind and in my opinion is the best pack of them all. Your videos were what inspired me to begin bushcraft In the first place. I have been borrowing my dads old army packs but I would love to have one for my own so I can go out and do all the things I see you don please help me joe!! Thank you again for your time. Joe, I'm not sure if your butcher shops carry it, but for bringing meat that does not need refrigeration (or Geiger counters) beef biltung is a great option. It's an air dried brisket, and you cut off what you need. More tender than jerkey, it rehydrated very well if you make a soup or stew, and strips can be cooked like bacon, or just cut off a bite as a snack. I believe it is originally a traditional way to cure and preserve meat in Africa. Something to keep an eye out for, or ask the butcher next time you are at a meat emporium.
@josephallen197 жыл бұрын
Sean Lewis good call!
@Taiwan.Rebell7 жыл бұрын
Biltong, and it's South African. We usually make our own but it's time consuming and it can also be done with sausage, called "droewors".

Meat emporium? Where I'm from it's just a butchers m8
@TheScoundrel707 жыл бұрын
RK7 , here too, but there are some pretty basic butcher shops that are not going to have this sort of thing, and then there are amazing butcher shops that have stuff you may never have even heard of; hence "Meat Emporium". It's just a bit of fun. Like some liquor stores (L.C.B.O. = Liquor Control Board of Ontario, though I prefer Legendary Canadian Booze Outfitters) in Ontario Canada can be pretty sparse, where as others are exceptional.
@Taiwan.Rebell7 жыл бұрын
Guys, if you live in a hot dry environment, you can make it yourself. We used silverside steak, you spice it for a couple days in basic spices and vinegar, this draws the water out the meat, then you slice it and hang it somewhere clean with a fan blowing on it until it dry, we usually prefer it to still be a little soft and "raw" in the center. If you live in a humid environment, you can buy or make your own drying boxes.

Hey Joe, Just wanted to thank you for the inspiration, I've been following for a little while but never commented. I have what some would call a social media phobia. At 47 years old and a few deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I find your video's very therapeutic and they have given me a drive to get back into the great outdoors. Thank you again!

I am loving your work, hey Joe I'm not going to lie but I have recently found your channel and can't seem to stop watching your videos. I love the idea of staying outside off of the grid for a couple day however I can never seem to find the time with work. There is no where by me in my local community that I would be able to do any of this, which means for the time being I am living vicariously through you and all I can do is thank you from the bottom of my heart for the stuff you do. Regards Mike

Hey bud! Thanks for posting videos! I enjoy watching them. You ever consider getting a Bradford Guardian 3, or any of their guardian series knives?

Joe Robinet Id say go check them out. I think they come in a 3” 4” 5” and 6”. The 3D contoured micarta scales make these the best feeling knives I’ve handled. Bradford knives guardian 3-6.

Musical, I agree Bradfords are live knives, bu I'm more of a more on either extreme end of the spectrum meaning I prefer a nice Helle or ESEE knife, but thats what is great about knives, there is a maker to suit every taste and application..
