As an avid hiker and backpacker/camper for my whole life, right now i'm stuck and can't get out and camp like I wish. And my years are catching up with me. I lived for 35+ years in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Tahoe and Grass Valley, CA. Not a season was without some adventure into the wilderness. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to live vicariously through you and enjoy all that these camping escapes offer. To us we get the bug free experience, no drive, no parking issues, no portages! And you get the smells, the air, the sounds (true)... Cheers, mate. From a Colorado misplant

I don't really care what you don't find, or how many fish you don't catch; I just enjoy seeing your part of the world, especially that glorious sunrise and that lake side track of fall color. I am so grateful you make the effort to take us along. And you spontaneous bursts into song are so fun. Oh, you should try some of your Bam Son on your popcorn. Popcorn wasn't my favorite treat, until I tried with with Fresh Cracked Pepper, along with the butter and salt. Go gently into that good night, dear Cooksa... you served us well.
