As a Yorùbá woman, whenever someone ingested something potentially poisonous, they drank Epo (red palm oil) to neutralise the effects. It's like a first response first aid before the person is taken to the doctor's (native or Western).

For rotten foods turmeric and cayenne pepper are used in combination with green tea. I never heard of red palm oil for poisons. Thank you for that.
