Always practice kicking higher than you want to in practice. If you want to kick the head, practice kicking higher. If you only practice kicking at the height you intend, your kicks will be more strained and suffer resistance (reducing speed, power and control)

I've got naturally flexible hips, and it's one of the main factors, aside from flexibility exercises and stretching, that makes me throw high kicks pretty effortlessly.

I can relate but i have issue with side kicks sometime they land lower causing unwanted damage to sparring partners

Thank you! This is a great video. Usually all streching teachers are some yoga guys or thin guys. It is nice to see that medium or big size guys have hope to improve our flexibility/mobility.

Free Tip to more watchable videos : You do the movement and demonstration, Joe. Let the narration to another from behind scenes(1st person PoV). Video becomes great.

Hey, just in case Joe doesn't get back to you, you can stretch every day. In fact, I'd say 4 times a week as a minimum. 10 to 15 minutes a day is enough. You don't need to do 45 mins a day or anything crazy! I will link you a handy routine I follow 4 to 5 times a week.
