@ice112814 жыл бұрын
thanks a lot! This made my rasgueado instantly good. You showed greatly how the hand should rotate. Apparently it's still OK for knuckles to point downwards in the end of the strum, so the arm itself is what rotates. Also, great that you mentioned how we shouldn't practice slowly with separate clumsy strokes like they teach you sometimes, had been doing that and no wonder I didn't manage to make this smooth.

Excellent lesson! I wish all teachers taught this way. I've been flirting with this technique off and on as a musician for years, but have yet to find a lesson featuring this amazing technique explained and presented as well as it was explained and presented here! Very exciting and well worth the practice. I have been playing/teaching pro for 33 + years as a fingerstylist and in my humble opinion, I really think the rasquiado techniques plural, is a must to add to ones arsenal of fingerstyle techniques. Well done my friend. Looking forward to more! Peace.

Thanks so much, I've been playing guitar 1 year now and this has been a focus in the background since the start. As many other comments mention, your advice of it being one fluid motion even while practicing was spot on. The penny dropped straight away and I was able to match full speed in the video in 20 minutes, Amazing!! Seems I'd already built up the wrist speed in other exercises so that's all I was missing! Appreciate the lesson💫

You're a genius! I tried so many techniques and non of them helped in building speed. But after watching this short video I realized that I've been doing it wrong all of the time. They key for me was when you mentioned that the arm/wrist is the one that should do the second down strumming! That worked like a charm and I was able to build speed immediately after few tries.. Thank you!

third advice is really critical to me . I was really strugglng to learn this technique , but I'll try this again. but is this normal thing to break the thumb nails when I play rasguqado? Is this possible to play this without nails? Is this normal te feeling of tingling on wrist when I practice rasguqado?
@josetanaka4 жыл бұрын
If you do it correctly, you should not break nail or feel tingling. It's hard without seeing how you actually do it but if you are doing this correctly and still feel tingling, you should see hand doctor or physician etc.

Maybe you need to relax more. Practice the thumb downstroke only until it feels smooth. Then try the abanico. Everyone has different thumb shapes. When your thumb is not relaxed the thumb may hook.
