Problem with e-bikes (which I’m an owner of) is batteries… currently have a warranty issue with my battery but the bike manufacturer and the motor manufacturer have 0 stock which means I don’t have a bike…. Ebikes MUST start making things standard so we can buy critical parts from any shops etc as I currently have a just over 1 year old bike that I can only look at and have absolutely no idea when I’ll be able to ride again…. This needs to change now! As it’s put me right off brands who are making brand specific batteries!!!
@shanereid56637 ай бұрын
That’s definitely a problem,a huge problem.
@kevb88287 ай бұрын
@@shanereid5663yep! Worst this is the battery damaged itself as the battery cracked around the mounts that hold the battery in place and the bike has only been ridden well within its intended use but I have no options but to just wait… but it makes you think if you want to keep a bike for 4/5 years are you actually going to be able to get a battery for it down the line? The industry needs to be told right now that we will not accept this and motors need to produce a standard battery in 625, 750 and 900 etc and the manufacturers need to design bikes around them simple as that! Lol

@@kevb8828 the market is ripe for a aftermarket battery company.

This is a big reason i went with a specialized kenevo bike. So many of their bikes use the same motor and batteries and replacement is quick and easy for warranty, or even to buy a few years later, from what I’ve heard.
@jcheco597 ай бұрын
The bottom of the issue is that the mayority of producers of motors and batteries doesn't understand the cyclists, normally only have one bike and ride it several times a week, is part of your live routines, so to stop biking for two to three months is not acceptable. That's why I have been talking about Polini motors, which is the first of user serviceable motor, that means you can fix your motor yourself if you want to, just like we do on a regular bike. They think we are buying a car. 😂😂😂😢😢😢

Great to see this episode with Josh. As a long term MTB rider and new eMTB rider I just love the new experience of eMTB. I have been reinvigorated to ride again as the uphill climb is now so much more enjoyable which makes you want to ride more often.

I knew this would happen because the market always move but I love my Trek EXe with a 160mm front end but now I’ve seen this and it’s probably the sweet spot. All the power, same weight. Damn it…

I love Cannondale! I was strictly rode Cannondales back in the super V and headstock days, had almost every model, super v, rush, prophet, jekyll, lefty fork, paint jobs were always beautiful. Looks like Cannondale is back!

I was just on the Cannondale site. Cudos to them for listing weights by model! LAB 71 $14000 U.S. 19.5 Kg. NOT the sweet spot! SL 1 $8750 U.S. 19.7 Kg Good Value SL 2 $7000 U.S. 20.6 Kg Sweet spot! You could get a LAB 71, or you could get 2 SL 2'S But the thing I love is that they have not hidden the weights. I never thought I'd consider a Cannondale, but with this bike, I'm about 80% onboard. I only want to know if the Shimano EP 801 rattle has gotten any better!

I cannot stop loving Cannondale bikes, despite all the fuzz about this brand. I continue to ride my Cannondale RZ One Twenty 1 "2010" (amazing analog bike) and now my Cannondale Moterra Neo 4 "2023" (great eBike machine for the price).

I bought the Lab71 version of this bike. I'll have it delivered next week. The only thing I may swap out is the fox 36 to the fox 38. I'm a heavier rider at 210 geared up. I ride mostly desert terrain with some pretty gnarly downhill. That said, any opinion on swapping that fork out?
@Cassienope5 ай бұрын
Did you end up swapping it out? I have a F38 and it's the first thing I'll change. I have been riding the 38 for a year and a half on a bike, so looking forward to having a little help carrying around the weight of it.

@@Cassienope Giving it a go with the Fox 36. So far it's been fine for the trials I have been riding. I am going to swap it to see the difference. I'll update when I get a ride or two in with the 38.
