My teacher played this on his guitar while we were doing our work. In conclusion , the most relaxing 5 minutes of class

Perfect rhythm intro loop and "Jessica" is flying solo…one of the greatest feel-good Allman songs, actually credited to Dickey Betts. You’re one of the best acoustic players I’ve heard. The crowd didn’t get or deserve this. Thanks.

Josh, in my opinion, musically, there is nothing purer or sweeter than a highly skilled acoustic guitar player doing his thing. When you play acoustic, you’re out there front and centre, and you don’t have a big wall of electronics to mask any shortcomings (not to say that there aren’t incredibly skilled electric players). What I am saying is that I have great respect for your skill and your performance. It’s a shame that some of the “patrons” didn’t give you and your fine playing the focused attention that you deserved. Your performance was a culmination of years and years of dedication and practice. I think the Allman Brothers would be proud of your musical homage to them.

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to write that Ted! Made my day - I’ve still got a long way to go, but im working on it everyday!!

I agree 👍 These days a wall of amps are mostly props. Everything has gone direct. I started using equalized direct interfaces in the 80s. Josh is what I want to be when I grow up! 😮

well said. Audiences in an eating or drinking establishment don't realize the talent that they are graced with. So many good players and Josh represents the acoustic world of players splendidly! People don't realize how good you are. They just want to see who scores a touchdown and hits a homerun. Story of my life as well but I've still made a great career out of it. I wish you great success and bigger and better stages.

I used to put the ABB CD in and hit the road back from U. Tennessee and the miles flew by and everything looked and seemed so much better. God rest all the brothers in that great gig in the sky! Thanks you Josh for bringing those memories back!

GREAT playing!!!! What a pity the whole audience couldn't stop and listen. This is the one reason why I no longer play in clubs, pubs and for parties.

Sounded good! I jam with a looper all the time. I only bought one maybe 2 years ago and it's helps alot. Oh yeah it's way more fun than a metronome.

Nice job... loved your facial expression on the one sour note in the harmony section. We all have those "notes" that rear their ugliness! Loved the looping. I am just learning how to use these myself at 60 years old!

Did you play with the Dubtown Cosmonauts? Whether you did or not I had to reach out to say that I was impressed with the acoustic version here utilizing the looper. I hope you are who watched 11 years ago or A Lifetime ago. 😮 Got a question.

Great performance...love to practice THIS tune. If I recollect correct, is this not a Dickey Betts tune? He wrote this instrumental piece as a tribute to Django Reinhardt, as it only uses two fingers in the guitar part. "Jessica" was the first Allman Brothers song recorded with new bassist Lamar Williams after the fatal motorcycle accident of Berry Oakley.
